Resolved Question: What are some jobs that have to do with newborns/infants?
(Wed, 08 Feb 2012 19:53:33 GMT)
I know there's a neonatal nurse, pediatrician, and things like that. I want something in another field other than health care, because my grades are good enough to get into a nursing school.
I also mean other than education and babysitting. I'm looking for a career not a job.

Resolved Question: Is the quality of health care for people and animals in the US disintegrating?
(Fri, 09 Dec 2011 14:42:55 GMT)
If so, why?
I personally found that good health care for newborns infants and unborn babies seems to be on the rise. From stories of what I have heard from my parents and great grandparents, plus friends who have had hard pregnancies, it seems there is so much more being done to take care of and save babies.
But I remember having a family doctor as a child and that doctor was very concerned for me when my dad took me to visit. Yet I go to a doctor now and I feel like a cheeseburger on a co

Resolved Question: Are fears of measles outbreaks overhyped by the media?
(Fri, 20 May 2011 14:52:54 GMT)
Historically, the majority of children in technologically advanced countries recovered from measles without major complications. However, measles in teenagers and adults or in very young infants can be much more severe with serious complications and increased mortality. In 1941, there were 894,134 cases of measles reported, the highest number of cases ever reported in one year. A record low of 44 cases was reported in 2002.
Some researchers believe that measles as a childhood disease in years

Resolved Question: Pro-lifers: Where would you like these kids to go?
(Sun, 03 Apr 2011 01:55:29 GMT)
Read until the line.
The way I see it, there are a few really bad options:
1) Their parents take care of them.
2) Adoption
3) Foster Homes
4) Performing your own, unsafe abortion
If a person wanted to have an abortion but were legally unable to, those are the only options I see. These are not good options - I will provide the reasons for this below. Feel free to read them and rebuttal, but that’s not what I hope you’ll answer.

(Fri, 10 Sep 2010 19:20:37 GMT)
Neonatal Nursing
Neonatal nursing is still relatively new to healthcare in comparison to adult health, midwifery, and other areas of nursing. Neonatal nursing has been around since the 1960’s. Because it’s new there are some really great opportunities for nurses to devote their time and skills to newborns. Neonatal refers to the first 28 days of life.
There are three different levels of neonatal nursing: Level 1; Level 2: Level 3.
Level 1 nurses deals with the healthy newborn nursery. This

Resolved Question: How are these body paragraphs for an argumentative essay on Pregnant women who smoke?
(Thu, 25 Feb 2010 07:56:16 GMT)
This is just a rough rough draft and am seeking any advice to make it better.
Smoking while pregnant can cause irreversible and irrefutable damage before birth and life lasting effects after birth. Studies have shown that there is a lot likelier chance that a baby born whilst the mother has been smoking will either be born with or eventually develop problems. Such problems include asthma, low birth weight, prematurity, and even Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). For example, according

Resolved Question: Do you think illegals should get a free swine flu shot paid for by the American taxpayer?
(Sat, 26 Sep 2009 15:09:07 GMT)
WASHINGTON - With swine-flu vaccinations set to begin next month, public-health officials are mobilizing to ensure that the nation's estimated 11 million-plus illegal immigrants are vaccinated.
And unlike the divisive debate over whether illegal immigrants should get federal health care, there is little dispute that they should receive the H1N1 shots.
"We believe it's important that all people be vaccinated regardless of immigration status if there's a pressing public-health concern," said

Resolved Question: What should we do? Husband just got laid off, No health insurance after 26 weeks, newborn and possible cancer.?

Please read my story. What should we do after the 26 weeks? read the whole thing, that way you know the whole story. I am trying not to rant. I am seriously asking this questions. Are there any programs out there that aren't going to break us? I wish we could add this to more than a couple categories, that would be most effective.
I recently had some very bad news and I am sitting here thinking about it when I got a flyer in the mail that is against the health reform bill. I have been a sup

Resolved Question: How do I get health insurance for my newborn?
(Wed, 15 Jul 2009 06:07:30 GMT)
I am 6 months pregnant and 21 years old. I am still on my parents' health insurance, as I am an unemployed student. My boyfriend, who is an independent, is an unemployed student as well. He is currently uninsured and, as we have found, is uninsurable due to the fact that I am pregnant. My parents' health insurance WILL NOT cover grandchildren (dependents of dependents) and so my baby will not be covered on their plan. Individual health insurance plans will not cover my infant until up to 30 da

Resolved Question: Why is late term abortionist George Tiller being painted as a martyr in the media?

Since his murder Sunday, the media has been almost celebrating the life of this evil man. I am pro life and feel that all forms of murder are wrong and that George Tillers assassin should be punished. She has 10 kids by 6 dads(maybe). She has lied to each one of them and said their dad is someone else, and when its covienent for her she will tell them the truth. I am very close to all her kids and they have all expressed a hatred for their mom. I think they have lots of mental issues and

Resolved Question: Opposed to Universal Health Care, American health care is it still the best in the world? ?
(Thu, 08 Jan 2009 01:12:41 GMT)
The shockingly high infant mortality rate in the U.S. Mostly because so many babies are born in urban slums and country hollows, where prenatal and infant care is often primitive, America has the second steepest newborn mortality rate among developed nations. In 2005, the latest year for which statistics are available, about seven out of every 1,000 babies in the U.S. died before their first birthdays. Though there has been steady improvement for many years, the U.S. is 29th in the world, behi

The United States ranks near the bottom for infant survival rates among modernized nations. A Save the Children report last year placed the United States ahead of only Latvia, and tied with Hungary, Malta, Poland and Slovakia.
The same report noted the United States had more neonatologists and newborn intensive care beds per person than Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom _ but still had a higher rate of infant mortality than any of those nations.
