Resolved Question: MMR vaccine and risk from Measles?
(Sun, 25 Sep 2011 18:03:31 GMT)
What effect did the drop in uptake of the MMR vaccine have? Shouldn't there have been an increase in cases of measles? Does the data from Norway (obviously from a small sample, see below) show potentially at least 1 in 9 people vaccinated with MMR are not protected against Measles? Would the around 16 deaths per year from Measles pre MMR have been prevented or were those people already so sick they would have died from a cold or something equally trivial? Is it worth vaccinating millions of he

Resolved Question: Department of Health requirement for MMR, is it legal?
(Sun, 07 Aug 2011 18:55:10 GMT)
This new requirement makes forced biological testing a mandate for continued employment.
I remember gettin Measels, Mumps. Rubella vaccination when I was in grammar school.
That was in 1965. Good luck finding those medical records. Now, to satisfy a new requirement I
have *no choice* but to submit to serological testing to prove my medical credentials.
What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Am I the only one who feels as if their rights have been trown under the bus?

Resolved Question: Would you use vaccines with human diploid tissue (aborted babies)?
(Wed, 09 Feb 2011 05:22:35 GMT)
The fact that the Chickenpox, Hepatitis-A and MMR vaccines were developed using aborted fetal cell lines, MRC-5 and WI-38 has never been hidden from the public. The problem is that when parents go to their family doctors for vaccinations, who asks to see the product insert? Most parents want to know the risks and possible side effects. Like their doctors, parents are mostly concerned with the health of their children. And doctors, who have been administering the vaccines for years have nev

Resolved Question: If I falied my first semester of college will i get any financial aid next semester?
(Mon, 01 Nov 2010 08:21:29 GMT)
Ok, so here's the situation. I just started my first year of college, and the health office sent me an immunization letter 2 weeks before it was due, so i got right on it and had my old pediatrician fax in the immunization letter. It took them three weeks (a week past the due date mind you) to tell me it wasn't accepted by the state & that I needed to do my measles and rubella shots over, but i didn't have insurance coverage yet. I was still waiting for the card to come in the mail. So they sa

Resolved Question: MMR titer results - please help!?
(Fri, 29 Oct 2010 18:47:43 GMT)
I just got back my MMR titer results- mumps 1.06, rubella was fine (didn't give me the reading), varicella was .90. I was told that for each of these they would want to see readings >1.10.
I work in healthcare (although not direct healthcare anymore), and my employee health dept thought it was a good idea to get a titer done.
The weird thing is that as a nursing student, I had a MMR injection done in 1996. So now I am very concerned.
What types of things would cause these readings if I h

Resolved Question: i can't find my vaccine records. i've had all my vaccines. can i make up the dates?
(Wed, 21 Jul 2010 01:50:50 GMT)
i'm transferring colleges. does it really matter when the dates were. i've shown proof to different schools in the past. i had a titer a year ago on hep b. it was good. we have moved a few times and i can't seem to find any of my health records. the paper says MMR- 2 doses and rubella- 1 dose required, given 12 months after birth or later, then second dose at least 30 days after the first dose. so going by that, i should be able to make up the dates, right?

Resolved Question: How do people justify not vaccinating their children?
(Wed, 06 Jan 2010 00:44:06 GMT)
It has always baffled me that anyone can be against basic vaccines like polio, measles, rubella, and tetanus. These vaccines may be the greatest medical discovery and they have very minor side effects and very rarely serious side effect (emphasis on rare).
There has been numerous studies stating there is no correlation between autism and vaccines, but it is still somehow debated. The mercury in thimerisol vaccines is so minute, it's less than the mercury in a tuna fish sandwich. When you weig

Resolved Question: Do American babies get their vaccinations for FREE?

If not, and you are poor...does that mean your kids dont if you can't afford it?? Wouldn't that cause the potential for an epidemic if that's the case?
Really curious about vaccinations. Immigrants are supposed to have certain vaccines to enter OUR country so I'm trying to understand this part of health care as it pertains to the American people.
And I'm asking in politics because it's not the health i

UC Davis Study Authors: Autism is Environmental - Can We Move On Now?
I have always said there may be a small percentage of people with autism spectrum disorder (perhaps those with Asperger Syndrome) whose symptoms are a result only of their genetic makeup, with no environmental factors involved at all.
But a new study out of UC Davis' MIND Institute says that it's time to abandon science's long, expensive, and not very fruitful quest to find the gene or genes that cause autism alone, without

Resolved Question: I'm looking to have a baby! Any advice to recommend?

I'm 26 yrs old and have wanted a baby for the last several years, which was the point that I felt ready for this. Don't try to talk me out of it, I feel set in my ways that I can be a VERY good mom.
I've been in a relationship for close to a year with a very kind, accomplished guy. He is more than ten years older than me. Any ways to sensitively, strategically approach the subject of a baby with him?
I recently had a check-up at the doctor, and everything was okay for the most part, and I

Resolved Question: VACCINES: what do u think about this?
(Thu, 27 Nov 2008 05:50:59 GMT)
Toxic Substances Are Needed To Make Vaccines.
Vaccines contain many toxic substances that are needed to prevent the vaccines from becoming infected or to improve the performance of the vaccine. Among these substances are mercury, formaldehyde and aluminum.[17] In the past 10 years, the number of autistic children has risen from between 200 and 500 percent in every state in the U.S. This sharp rise in autism followed the introduction of measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in 1975. i believe the vaccine causes autism and bowel problems and i think it should be banned. the nhs website says it is giving facts - what it does not say is that first, the measles vaccine is know to be an immunosupressant - it can make other vaccines less effective and second, an ingredient in the rubella vaccine acts as an adjuvant for other vaccines - it worsens their side effects and this may be the causal effect to autism. given these facts alone why the hell is our department of health allo

Resolved Question: Why would anybody have their new-born baby or child vaccinated?????
(Thu, 20 Sep 2007 21:50:02 GMT)
By Dr. Aisha Hamdan
“Immunizations the best thing to protect your child from a variety of diseases.”
You hear this from your doctor from the media, from the brochures in the clinic, from your friends. But, did you ever stop to think twice about what it all means?
Did you ever look deeper into the issue and the other side of the story?
Well let’s read on…..
Your child is just born and one of the first things you do is call the clinic to schedule an appointment for your first “well-baby” v
