What is Testicular Disorders?
Testicles, or testes, make male hormones and sperm. They are two egg-shaped organs inside the scrotum, the loose sac of skin behind the penis. It's easy to injure your testicles because they are not protected by bones or muscles. Men and boys should wear athletic supporters when they play sports.
You should examine your testicles monthly and seek medical attention for lumps, redness, pain or other changes. Testicles can get inflamed or infected. They can also develop cancer. Testicular cancer is rare and highly treatable. It usually happens between the ages of 15 and 40.

Open Question: Anyone else againtst neutering/spaying?
(Mon, 19 Dec 2011 16:02:46 GMT)
Now, I know I'll probably get haters but this is a subject I feel very strongly about. I have researched on this and have been told that neutering removes the risk of diseases, without being given proof. I have found a list of both good and bad on neutering male dogs.
Good:
-eliminates the small risk of dying from testicular cancer.
-reduces the risk of non-cancerous prostate disorders.
-reduces the risk of perianal fistulas.
-possibly reduces the risk of diabetes.
Bad:
-if done before 1 yrs

Resolved Question: Is neutering male dogs bad for them?
(Tue, 23 Aug 2011 03:04:17 GMT)
I needed to neuter my dog because of a prostate infection, but I feel guilty now because I found:
Neutering male dogs
eliminates the small risk (probably <1%) of dying from testicular cancer
reduces the risk of NON CANCEROUS PROSTATE DISORDERS (my dog had this)
reduces the risk of perianal fistulas
may possibly reduce the risk of diabetes (data inconclusive)
On the negative side, neutering male dogs
if done before maturity, increases the risk of osteosarcoma (bone cance

Resolved Question: Possible Kidney disorder?
(Wed, 02 Jun 2010 00:18:29 GMT)
I am a 22 year old male and have had a wide range of health concerns for over a year now. It all started a year ago when I was weightlifting and taking a whey protein supplement. I noticed that after taking the whey protein, I would have to urinate extremely bad (it was painful to hold in). After a few weeks of taking it, I was skateboarding and jumped and then got a bad pain in my abdominal region and groin. The pain got worse for a matter of days and manifested in severe testicular pain and

Resolved Question: Spaying/Neutering, do the benefits always outweigh the risks? (Not about pet overpopulation but for the dog)?
(Tue, 20 Apr 2010 20:59:19 GMT)
This is not a controlling pet overpopulation but about the individual dog. So forget for a moment that pet overpopulation is an issue.
I was reading this:
http://www.naiaonline.org/pdfs/LongTermHealthEffectsOfSpayNeuterInDogs.pdf
And it got me wondering if the benefits of spaying/neutering really do outweigh the risks.
This right here is enough to make me want to do more research or atleast hold out on spaying/neutering until my dog is older:
" The evidence shows that spay/neuter c

Resolved Question: neutering your dog - where did you get your information from?
(Fri, 27 Nov 2009 05:04:12 GMT)
A question earlier asked for information on the 'cons' of neutering his male dog. Several of the answers stated that there were absolutely none. It amazes me that people still insist that are are no negative risks of neutering - the evidence simply does NOT support this one sided view
This is from a study done into over 50 peer reviewed articles on the 'Long-Term Health Risks and Benefits Associated with Spay / Neuter in Dogs"

Resolved Question: Is Testicle size really what's matters?
(Mon, 24 Sep 2007 08:12:44 GMT)
Testicle size is what counts for a clean bill of health and being able to produce children.
Most men are unaware of how important the size of their testes is in relation to their health, Professor Rob McLachlan, director of Andrology Australia, told Fairfax newspapers.
"I've seen men coming in with (testicles) the size of a sultana and they haven't realised (it's a problem) - it happens all the time," Prof McLachlan said.
Men need to be aware of their testicle size, to measure their own

Resolved Question: Hey guys and girls, what is your waist-hip ratio?
(Sun, 02 Sep 2007 20:03:22 GMT)
If you dont know then calculate:
To calculate the ratio, use a non-stretchable tape. Make sure it is level around the body, parallel to the floor, and tighten it without depressing the skin. Measure the waist at its narrowest point width-wise, usually just above the belly button. Measure the hips around the widest part of the hip bones. Then divide the waist measurement by the hip measurement.
A WHR of 0.7 for women and 0.9 for men have been shown to correlate strongly with general health an
