INFLUENZA (FLUARIX) side effect was reported on 01/09/2009. Male patient, 47.0 years of age, was vaccinated with INFLUENZA (FLUARIX). After vaccination, patient experienced the following side effects: cellulitis, diarrhoea, erythema, injection site erythema, injection site swelling"Patient received vaccine on 12/18/08. Contacted telephone helpline 12/19/08 to report arm is swollen, red, warm to the touch; temp was 98. Patient presented to ER on 12/20/08 with reports of worsened symptoms in addition to diarrhea, swelling and erythema at site of injection. Initiated antibiotics for diagnosis of cellulitis.". see above"prostatitis, chronic neck pain, hyperlipidemia" . During the same period patient was treated with "gabapentin, omeprazole, oxycodone, rosuvastatin, docusate". Patient recovered.

INFLUENZA (FLUARIX) side effect was reported on 01/07/2009. Female patient, 33.0 years of age, was vaccinated with INFLUENZA (FLUARIX). After vaccination, patient experienced the following side effects: incorrect route of drug administration, injection site erythema, , , "This case was reported by a healthcare professional and described the occurrence of injection site redness in a 33-year-old female subject who was vaccinated with FLULAVAL (GlaxoSmithKline). There were no concomitant medications. On 1 October 2008 the subject received a dose of FLULAVAL at 0.5 ml, subcutaneously, in the left arm. On 1 October 2008, within a few hours following vaccination with FLULAVAL, the subject experienced injection site redness. The area of redness was about 1 inch in diameter and resolved on 4 October 2008. It was also noted that the FLULAVAL was administered via the wrong route. The vaccine should have been administered intramuscularly. The healthcare professional considered that the injection site redness was possibly related to vaccination with FLULAVAL.". INFLUENZA (FLUARIX) side effect was reported on 03/09/2009. Female patient, 64.0 years of age, was vaccinated with INFLUENZA (FLUARIX). After vaccination, patient experienced the following side effects: blood test normal, cough, electrocardiogram, headache, injection site erythema"Pt reports she saw Dr for "horrible blurred vision...and flashes on the left side of my left eye". Reports she also had increased coughing (forceful) at the time w/Bronchitis-like symptoms. States she saw her internist after Christmas due to continuation of respiratory symptoms (see #18) & headache (L) side of head. MD suggested head MRI - she has not had this yet. Symptoms mainly reports were at the Flu injection site was "red and raised --- tender to touch" for 2 months tried ADVIL & other pain meds with much relief. Resolved 1 month ago (early February 2009 but is still "raspy".". sick 3-4 days before got flu shot. Bronchitis like symptoms/ cough/no fever/sinus issues.NoneDid blood work up 5 significant findings. Every test returned as normal. EKG done. . During the same period patient was treated with None. Patient recovered.
