Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES reported ISOFLURANE problem on July 10, 2007. Male patient, child 8 years of age, was diagnosed with status asthmaticus, sedation and was treated with ISOFLURANE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: encephalopathy. ISOFLURANE dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM, FENTANYL, SALBUTAMOL, TERABUTAMINE, ISOPRENALINE, MAGNESIUM SULPHATE, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, METHYLPREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
