Physician from JAPAN reported PENICILLAMINE problem on Dec 26, 2007. Female patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with systemic sclerosis and was treated with PENICILLAMINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: cough, duodenal stenosis, dyspepsia, dyspnoea exertional, eructation, intestinal diaphragm disease, intestinal stenosis, nausea, vomiting. PENICILLAMINE dosage: 500 MG (500MG,1 IN 1 D), ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: headache, hepatic failure, sepsis. PENICILLAMINE dosage: 250 MG QD, PO. Patient died on 11/06/2004.

During the same period patient was treated with ZINC. Patient died on 06/01/2006.
