Physician from FRANCE reported PENTOXIFYLLINE problem on May 24, 2007. Male patient, 85 years of age, was diagnosed with prophylaxis, vitamin supplementation, anaemia of malignant disease and was treated with PENTOXIFYLLINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: erythema, haemorrhage, myoglobinaemia, pancytopenia, renal failure, rhabdomyolysis, sepsis, toxic epidermal necrolysis, transaminases increased. PENTOXIFYLLINE dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE, RABEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, VITAMIN B12, ALIMTA, ZOFRAN, ARANESP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: asthenia, constipation, delirium, dizziness, fatigue, gastrointestinal erosion, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, haemorrhoid operation, refusal of treatment by patient. PENTOXIFYLLINE dosage: 400 MG TID PO. During the same period patient was treated with CLOPIDOGREL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
