Thiamine Side Effects Report #5196736-8
Physician from UNITED KINGDOM reported THIAMINE problem on Dec 19, 2006. Male patient, 53 years of age, was diagnosed with alcohol use, schizophrenia and was treated with THIAMINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: agitation, atrial fibrillation, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, body temperature increased, c-reactive protein increased, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, confusional state, diarrhoea, hyperhidrosis. THIAMINE dosage: 300 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with CLONAZEPAM, NIZORAL, CLOZARIL, PROCYCLIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

THIAMINE problem was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 19, 2007. Female patient was diagnosed with alcohol withdrawal syndrome and was treated with THIAMINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: cardiac arrest, dyspnoea, unresponsive to stimuli. THIAMINE dosage: 100MG ONCE IV BOLUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
