Thioctacid Side Effects Report: 5468419-8,Cardiac Failure, Convulsion, Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation, Hepatic Failure, Intentional Overdose, Lactic Acidosis, Multi-organ Failure, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure
on Aug 30, 2007 Female patient from GERMANY, , 14 years of age, was diagnosed with suicide attempt and was treated with Thioctacid. After Thioctacid was administered, patient had the following side effects: Thioctacid and cardiac failure, Thioctacid and convulsion, Thioctacid and disseminated intravascular coagulation, Thioctacid and hepatic failure, Thioctacid and intentional overdose, Thioctacid and lactic acidosis, Thioctacid and multi-organ failure, Thioctacid and renal failure, Thioctacid and respiratory failure. Thioctacid dosage: Max. 60 G In Total, Oral. During the same period patient was treated with NORFENEFRINE, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient died.
