Pharmacist from UNITED STATES reported THIOTHIXENE problem on Aug 29, 2006. Male patient, weighting 215.8 lb, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was treated with THIOTHIXENE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: anxiety , disturbance in attention, formication, hallucination, visual, irritability, musculoskeletal stiffness, paranoia, restlessness. THIOTHIXENE dosage: 15 MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with LITHIUM, BUPROPION, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 29 years of age, weighting 125.0 lb, was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and was treated with THIOTHIXENE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: blood prolactin increased, galactorrhoea. THIOTHIXENE dosage: 5 MG BID AND 15 MG QHS PO. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with DEPAKOTE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ZYPREXA. Patient recovered.
