43 with Relapsing Remitting MS, I'm trying to figure my way around this disease. On Avonex, which makes me pretty sick. I'm trying to figure out my way around combinding the traditional with the holistic in battling this disease. I know there are others out there with much more info. I'm currently taking one pill for nerve pain, iv steroids for relapses, omega 3, co-q10, a multivitamin, and provigil for my bone breaking fatigue. I feel like a toxic wasteland! Any suggestions? I know that taking advil will make muscle growth(recovery) alot less effective. and because of my medication I need to take advils on friday. I was diagnosed with MS a little over 3 years ago and I've been on Avonex since then. I have had one minor relapse which brought about severe fatigue. I am taking Avonex for my MS. I was wondering when you may start to notice the "attacks" not coming back as much or leaving. Am on Avonex for about 6-8 months. Had the dreaded flu-like symptoms at first, noone warned me about that. Now I take the necessary precautions for that but still get those effects although slightly less intense.
