I've been having painful muscle/nerve spasms when trying to sleep, so bad that it feels like I'm being punched in the chest every few minutes. My doctor has suggested it's Champix/Chantix, which I have stopped taking (2 weeks ago), but apparently it can take a month or so to leave the body completely. Here's my question; If it continually acts on the same receptors that nicotine does, then how is it any different than a nicotine replacement product? i have an inflammed lung, and i have been prescribed antibiotics for it. I was advised by my Dr. not to start my Champix prescription until my antibiotics are done and my lung is feeling better. Hi I started taking champix for a second time (took a few months back, however due to hair loss the doc wouldn't prescribe anymore to me) for the last 10 days. From about day 6 I started feeling sick constantly. I'm on day 1 of Champix, so it's just a single tablet today. But a half hour after taking it I felt 'high' !!! I stayed that way most of the day, till it wore off about 6 hours later. Now this didn't hinder me in any way, I still carried on with my daily duties. But I was very aware that I was seriously chilled out, and sort of quite. An one else feel that way?
