I felt a sleep in my contacts right after work woke up took them out for a few hours and I had to put them right back in. Someone at work told me my eye was red and pink, I took the contact out for 24 hours still pink around the cornea so I went and got Naphcon-A still pink around the cornea please help.

For over week now, after wearing make-up a little while back, my eyes have been very dry, itchy, and sometimes gritty and sore and very blurry at times. The skin around the eyelids has been rubbed raw and is also very sore. My eyes are very bloodshot and red. It started in one eye, but then progressed to the other. I went to the doctor who concluded it was allergic conjunctivitis and sent me to the chemist for Naphcon-A. However, I do not get the excessive tearing symptom of allergic conjunct

I woke up yesterday with a pink eye so dad told me to use Naphcon-A and it was light pink (got better) after I used it once, but then I stopped and it got red again. And now I used it once after I woke up and another time like few minutes ago. And I think it's getting better, but I'm wondering if I should go to the hospital instead? or just continue with the eye drop? I kept using the eye drop for 2 days and it cured my eye :D

Naphcon (naphalozine) is subclassed as decongestant/lubricant.

They are both under the same subclass but they differ in mechanism of action.

Are both of them used for eye conditions due to allergies? What's the A for? Allergies or antihistamine?

I ate a green apple, and evidently I am allergic. I am allergic to practically everything, and get allergy shots, but I didn't think I have food allergies too. I've been using eye drops (Naphcon A) several times a day for over a month. It says not to use more than three times a day and only for a couple of weeks, but this conjunctivitis is not letting up. I don't want to overuse the eye drops, I've heard that it's a bad thing to do. I think I'm becoming photophobic from all the eye drops. Is there something else I can do?

What else can I do? I moved to Louisiana in the USA and I got terrible eye allergies, Very Very Puffy, itchy, Red eyes for days, I can varely open my eyes sometimes. And the eye drops Im talking about are Naphcon A. I used them once and they worked but stopped using them because I was told that if overused, they will have a "rebound effect" on my eyes, which means my eyes will become dependent on the eye drops and redder. I had pink eye in one eye and infected the other one. So I took the eye drops, went back for a follow up and my doctor said it was gone, but I can't the red in my eye to go away. I use Naphcon A and it goes away temporarily. I went and seen my doctor yesterday and she gave me a prescription for allergy eye drops, and they don't work at all...so miserable!!

I have noticed that the inner corner of my left eye is bloodshot since 3 days ago.
