I am getting a colonoscopy and endoscopy of my upper and lower GI. I took osmo prep pills (32 total, taken 20 so far) and have drank over 13 8oz. servings of all clear liquid drinks as per my drs recommendation. The pills should have worked. they didn't. so she told me to drink 2 FULL BOTTLES of magnesium citrate. I drank them, with 8 oz of water and I still have not had a bowel movement. I know it says 1/2-6 hr you will see one, but I havent had one at all yet. and its been 1.5 hours. shoul

Am going to have a colonoscopy for the first time, and am a little nervous about that. From what I've heard the prep is worse than the actual procedure. I was prescribed the Osmoprep tablets because I've had to drink some of the Colyte before and wasn't able to handle it. I have been dieting and losing weight, but I have really bad colon problems. I have to undergo yet another colonoscopy prep in order to clean out my system to have some tests run. I'm taking OsmoPrep instead of the traditional laxatives, because the latter makes me vomit profusely. I'm getting a colonoscopy tomorrow at 12, and my doctor opted for the osmoprep pills...i started at 2 pm today taking 4 every 15 mins until 4, and nothing happened. i thought it would be like after 5 mins run to the bathroom, but no, nothing until just now, 7:30. but the pills made me feel terrible, my stomach was gurgling all day, i had cramps from it, and i felt dizzy and had a headache, but im just toughing it out. i'm taking them again in 15 mins, i wonder if it'll be different this tim

I was prescribed Osmoprep for bowel preparation. I'm on a liquid diet all day. The preparation instruction my doctor gave me says to start the first regimen at 4pm and the last at 9pm. Ive been getting blood in my stool, so i have a colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow. I am not supposed to eat anything, and take 4 prescription osmoprep laxatives an hour till tonight before the procedure.
