Okay lately I have been hearing that Zetia is not so great for reducing cholesteral. I tried alot of other meds for high cholesteral but unfortunately the side affects were too severe. Zetia, since it metabolizes in the digestive track and not the liver, is my best bet in lowering cholesterol, but my latest test show the cholesterol level is still high. I understand Zetia only comes in 10mg dosages. Why is that? Wouldn't a higher dosage be preferable for someone like me who has side effects from statins contained in other cholesterol drugs. I had a cath yesterday and have been started on Imdur and Zetia. I feel terrible !
