Alloderm Reviews

I'm a 61 year-old male.  Abdominal cancer surgery in 2007 resulted in a large post-surgery ventral hernia.  Alloderm was used to repair the ventral hernia in February 2009.  By September 2009 it was evident that the repair had failed and hernia was returning.  Daily pain has gradually increased since the repair failure.  Doctor advised that a second repair surgery should be performed.  I am unwilling to try that again as I was still healing from the first repair surgery when the Alloderm repair failed.  Doctor doesn't offer any reassurance that an additional repair procedure would have a better result.  I could have saved myself a great deal of pain and ongoing problems had I not undergone the initial Alloderm repair surgery.  I still have the large ventral hernia and the added daily pain of the failed repair.
