• I had been using amloc 5mg…

  I had been using amloc 5mg together with Plexum . Now that I got married and planning to get pregnant, my Dr stopped Plexum and increased amloc to 10 mg. I gain weight, have swollen lower legs and face more in the afternoon.
  
  My other worry is I hardly get wet when I am making love, I feel so dry. I am concerned that this my make it difficult for me to conceive.
  
  What is the best antihypertensive when one want to conceive and during pregnancy?
  Please advise.

  I am a 95yr old male with Age related macular degeneration,the worst diagnosis,sight is extremely limited,hard of hearing,and prone to frequent bouts of recurring pneumonia,in the winter,and usually have ended up in hospital.Other than that I have surprised everyone that I am still so strong and fit!! Last bout was June 2010,my daughter had to admit me to Emergency Room at local Medical Clinic, as neubaliser was ineffective,but the young Doctor immediatly put me on nebuliser for 10-15 minseven ( my daughter had briefed him of what she had administered,at hom
  ),then I was transferred to High Care where they called my Physician and strapped me up to e.c.g. and monitors, my pulse rate was bouncing back and forwards between 120 -230 bps,my daughter was extremely concerned,as she is well aware that ,that can happen if too much nebuliser medication is administered in a short space of time,which was the case when I was admitted.Ever since June I was prescribed Amloc 5 and my daughter feels that because of what had happened there that I have now a blood pressure problem which I have never had a problem with before,and permanent swollen feet and ankles.I was told that Amloc 5 can give that as a side effect,and also my eyesight seems to have worsened,dizziness sometimes,I also have nausea at times particularly if perhaps near time for meals.I have also taken lasik water tabs,to try to alleviate the swelling and doesn't really make much difference???? (My daughter typed this for me)

  i'm using almoc10mg and pritor for about a month i feel sleepy all the time,during the week when i take my medication i also take centrum and bioplus just to keep myself awake and everymorning i feel like i have a hang over,i feel very dizzy and i also get headache

  I have only been on Amloc for 1 week - this is the 4th type of BP tablet I have been put on. I find I am having hot flushes around 3pm every day and also have a bit of coughing at night - not as bad as I had with another type of tablet previously :(

  Try co-pretor. The swelling is a known side-effect, if you continue with Amloc I suggest Lasix (waterpill)

  I have been using Amloc for about 4 years now.  first 5mg and over the last 18 months.  There is a mild swelling of the ankles, but nothing really inhibiting.  However, I am interested to know whether otheres feel that it has impacted on their sleep patterns at all.  I am also taking a 10mg daily dosage of Aspavor (statin).  I do feel that one of these, probaby the Amloc is interfering with my sleep.

  i have a question. i've been taking amloc 5mg daily no problems except a bit of swollen ankle/s. the pharmacist issued me with amlodipine besilate when i compared this to amloc i see the amloc tablet contains amlodipine matelate . now is there a differernce plse because im getting slight headaches which i never expereinced before?

  Hi Jacques,
  I am 43 yrs old and started using Amloc 10mg in November 2010. I experience exactly the same effects. The most worrying is the swelling of ankles and feet. I do not like this at all.
  Surely there must be something else?
  Can someone advise please?

  I Use amloc 5mg. I am 42 years old and was this drug prescribed for high blood pressure. Since using amloc for the second week now,i can't sleep,i am irritaded and short tempered,i weat a lot and generally feeling bad-all the time. I also feel drowsy in morning.
  This medication is defenately bad for me,since i experience very bad side effects.
