Hi, I'm experiencing swollen ankles. I'm on amlodopine. Is there something I can do for it?
I'm on my feet all day long for my job and the air conditioning is also not working well.

Headache and nausea

I took it and within days my legs lower part broke out in small bumps and itches then my upper armed then more until I called the doctor he said get off it and I was taking others meds. I must be allergic to it.

Everyone dies sometime, you know...Amlodipine is supposed to make it easier, not make it go away... duh!!!

That would be scary...imagine seeing two of each of your in-laws!!!

Amlodpine is a dihydropyridine group Ca channel blocker usually prescribed  to controll hypertension (Males) or prinz metal angina (Females) trade names  Norvasac  Quvasac .....
Ca channels are universally present in our body esp in exciteable tissues muscles nerves glands etc
The alternatives for controlling hypretension are Beta blockers (not my personal favourite) diuretics (spironolactone recommended) and ACE inhibitors (My favourite) but not recommended for fertile females as it has reported teratogenic affects
In short you can manage your therapy options after consultation with your phsician

from the left side of my nose to  the upper left side of my jaw more like my gums hurt 

After 2 months taking Amlopipine i developed double vision, went away when I reduced dosage, any one have anything similar.

I know a gentleman who has been on amlodipine for a long time and he has been experiencing swelling around his ankles since he's been on it. He came across an article in his newspaper about the side effects caused by amlodipine and it said swelling around the ankles and also it can cause a fatal heart attack later in life. He's is going to show the article to his caregiver and see about calling his doctor about it. I hope his doctor changes his medicine because I don't want to see anything happen to him because of this medicine.

Has anyone else experienced a chest pain followed by a cold and hot sensation that spreads over most of the body?

I am taking amlodine 10 gms and every so ofteN afterIhave eaten at lunchtime MY HEART STARTS RACING FOR A LITTLE WHILE

NAUSEA  FATIQUE

Any advice please? Legs & ankles have swollen up terribly. Am I safe to stop them for a while. Weekend and can't get to the Doctor.

very high BP 215\115; flush, itching, strange and cataclysmic dreams, headaches, and general malaise.  One exam stated an allergic reaction, the other was the med was not "well tolerated"...

I have been experiencing similar problems to yourself. I asked my doctor to take me off the I medication last week. The feeling of being out of it and zonked really freaked me out and the anxiety was terrible. The doctor said I should see some of the benefits in about 10 days.

I was switched from Ziac to 10mg of Amlodipine and have been having head aches, feeling like I am on speed, nervous, and chills. I also have had terrible GERDS. Could this all be from the amlodipine?

Hi have been diagnosed with multiple ulcers in stomach and deudonal coulpe of months back.
I was taking Amlodipine since 1 year, is there any possibilites that if this drug might have caused it.
is it a know side effect of this drug??

Not sure if it's related but my face is full of sores as is the back of my neck - it does seem to be easing off. Yet to have my BP checked. Also have been feeling very tired even though I haven't done anything, basic walking can hurt when I didn't have any problems before. However I realise that it could be down to picking up an infection or due to jet lag. (reposted to add my Twitter profile [scubear])

After taking Amlodipine 10mg for a year or so, can it then cause itching on the upper body; arms, back, and ribs?
