Aspavor

Had two stents put in 3 months ago after a clot in my artery and some narrowing of another artery and feeling fine.One week ago started to get strange feeling of warmth/flush/glow in my stomach and my hands went warm.This kept me from falling asleep and therefore made me anxious and worried.
Had a full cardiac stress test and sonar heart scan at my cardiologist on the Monday and doc said he was very happy with my progress which made my anxiety dissappear.
I mentioned my symptoms to him and suggested it could be a side affect of my medication.I am taking Aspavor,aspirin and blood thining pills (think its premix or something like that) and also high blood pressure tablet but he said that its highly unlikely and put it down to stress and anxiety.
Lat night (Wednesday),two days later,I had the same ''episode'' and didnt get much sleep and although I dont feel worried or anxious about my heart I do wonder why this is happening.
Please help with some suggestions.

I was on lipitor but hospital changed my medication to aspavor and now I have severe leg pains. Been for X-ray and they can't find anything wrong - told me I just have to live with it and take pain medication - why? Should I go back onto lipitor>

Yes I am Aspavor 20mg and also have a back pain were I am constantly taking pain killers. I actually thought that I did some thing wrong by lifting but just from sitting or turning my body it will return it starts to effect my job off shore and have to do some thing when I get home I do not know what yet but will se the doc.

Back on Lipitor since this morning, and delighted that within less than 36 hours since taking last Aspavor, itching of scalp has virtually vanished!

Hi Chris.  You may just have saved my sanity.  Changed from Lipitor 5-6 months ago, developed an extremely itchy scalp - no visible reason - just scratching like a monkey, and getting worse. 
Wash my hair every day anyway - no relief, no change in hair products, only change of which I could think, was the Aspavor. 
Wish Discovery med aid would recognise that generics do not necessarily perform as originals when "Drug List" without co-payment is compiled.
Off to pharmacy tomorrow, replacing Aspavor with Lipitor again.  Thanks!!

I started on Aspavor - change from Lipitor - and I have severe itching of my head and am now forced to wash my hair every second day to temporarily remove the itchiness. Is it Aspavor?

Hi about 8 weeks ago I was put on 40mg Aspavor. About a month ago I started to get a very sore back and ribs. It is not so bad in the day but when I sleep gets so bad I can hardly sleep properly. I have been to the doctor who said I had muscle spasms and refered me to the physio. It helped but returned after a week.
Has anyone else experienced this as I am worried about it and not sure if it is the Aspavor or something else.

Please try Reflexology for the fibromyalgia as it works wonderfully. My wife suffers with it and after non of the normal doctors could assist her she went for Reflexology. 2-3 Months later she was leading a normal life. As a result she gave up her profession to studied for 2 years and is now practising as a Reflexologist.

I've been on statins from the age of 28, started of with lipitor, then changed for a few years to simvastatin. With simvastatin I got muscle pains so I went back to lipitor and then over to aspavor when it was released. If been on the drugs now for 10 years without any side effects I know of. It is also the only medicine I take daily.

Does anyone know for sure that we cannot use Aspavor and drink grape Fruit drink. Please reply

Reading about all the horrendous side effects some of which i am experiencing myself has made me determined to rid myself of all medication especially aspavor. I am currently taking aspavor, co-diovan160, cymbalta60, Nexium,glucophage1000 and a daily anti histamine. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and hypertension. I spend my days totally exhausted in pain and with constantflu like symtoms hense the anti histamine. prior to all this treatment and medication my blood pressure was so low that if I stood in a queue for long I would faint. I sound like a hyercondriac which is definitely not where I want to be...

Can Aspavor cause itching? If it can cause renal problems, itching is a symptom of this?

I am having a problem that , I have lost my taste in my mouth for a while now, I was taking simvastatin prevoius and the doctor advise to change to Aspavor I am taking it for almost month. Please tell me what should  I do now.

Is it true you should not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit when takinf aspavor. Does aspavor "wear" away you muscles over time
