I put on aspercream an hour…
I put on aspercream an hour before dance. I was at dance for two hours and halfway through it burned a little. I went home and took a shower and my knee burned for two straight hours! It kept me up forever with intense pain! It Helped at dance for a while but the effects later were horrible! Don't put aspercream on and then take a shower! Aspercream and water do NOT work well together!!!!

20 years old, put aspercreme on to relieve muscle pain at 5pm. fell asleep at 11pm and woke up at 4am with intense burning sensation on skin. any explanation?

I was asleep for one hour…
I was asleep for one hour and the intense burning woke me up too! I had administered the cream to my forarm and hand and when I woke up I washed my arm and dried it off, but that did not work! It felt like a chemical burn, but after I went back to sleep and woke up five hours later, my arm does not hurt. So:
Pro: Relieves pain
Con: Burns, burns, burns -

I rubbed Aspercreme on both my elbows and then went to sleep. About thirty minutes later I woke up with intense burning. I had to use an ice pack and even that did not help. I almost went to the ER, it felt like my skin was on fire.
