Augmentin

3rd day on augmentin and i'm getting chest pain didn't think it could be related and really bad nausea when I took it this morning. They don't list that as a side effect.

and it has blister now ,,,im afraid i dont know what to do,,,

ive been taken for 3 days and now i experience sore throat,,tired and some rashes to my private part,,,that sucks

I had a infected hair and was given Augmentin.  The second night I started having chest pains ans shortness of breath.  Ever since I have had chest pains near my chest plate and it feels like torn muscles.  I has been almost two months and I still have the pain.  Any ideas.  Hopefully just a pulled muscle.

I had a throat and gun infection at the same time. My doc gave me augmenten for remedy.My last dose was more than 5 days back but still i am suffering from its side affects and feeling diziness confusion. augmented screwed me big time as i am not able to concentrate on almost anything :-( however, during my dosage period i observed frequent rashes appearing on the ears, face and on some areas of the arms. the rashes were punctual as they hit me daily for 3 to 4 days at the same time period. I tool 635 Mg 12 tablests in total for 4 days = 3 tabs daily....anyone knows how much more these deadly side affects will last? or what to do for eliminating attaks on nervous system?

My five year old has had vasculitis for two weeks which his doctors have attributed to a single dose of Augmentin. They are testing him like crazy for serious problems and monitoring his kidney function closely, meanwhile he has a horrible rash that just seems to get worse as time goes by. I have no idea what else I can do to help my baby - I am terrified for him.

I started taking Augmentin 875 on Tuesday evening for a respiratory infection. I got a hive on my face the first tablet taken, it dissapeared within an hour or so and since it was only one I didn't think too much of it. I then got dragging pains in my legs and just above my pelvis that night and early morning. A horible achey dragging pain like it was inside my joints and veins. 

I got hives only on my legs next day and they only lasted an hour or two and dissapeared so i kept taking the medicine thinking it must be okay if it went away.
If was tired before I stared taking the medicine I would have to say I was completely exhuasted on this stuff and it wiped me out. All I wanted to do was sleep and eat. I took aspirin the second night of leg pain so I could sleep I was also having achey pain in my back just above and around my pelvis. I was getting terribly weepy and sad as well, the kind of depressed state I have not felt in about ten years. I mean I know you can be down when you are sick but this was really bad so I called the doctors office a second time to consult with them. They told me to stop taking it. I am relieved to be off this medication and prescribed with something else. I have taken amoxicillin before and had no issues in the past. I think it must be what ever is combined with it in this drug that set off the side effects I was having. It has helped my sinus infection a little bit but not enough to endure the side effects.

My brother died suddenly at Derriford hopsital Plymouth, admitedly he had a heart transplant 10 years ago but everything was fine!! He was well!! My brother and his wife were only two weeks from returning from a Cruise and he was diagnosed with DIVERTICULITIS, checking with Harefied Hopspital on how he was treated the registra gave administered IV Augmentin - early hours of the 7th August 2010 - My sister-in-law received a phone call at 03.20 hours to say that my brother had taken a turn for the worse and could she come up straight away and she must not come alone. I went with her and he had died before we got there. We have now received posr mortom reports from Derriford which were short and inconculsive. Harefield asked for the heart and have questions because significant findings - stateform ther report that his heart was fine with no scaring of precious MI's as they had quoted in ther report. We are now going for a coroners inquest ? was he not monitored ? was he Hypertensive ? was was the dose of administration etc - I don't want any money I just want to know waht happened!! - he was found by the night staff slumped on the bed - When I went to see him at 4.30am he was ICE cold - Please help me Mant thanks

I started with a back pain after taking my first tablet of a 7 day course, 3 times a day. Usual pain killer helped but the back pain continued which made me wonder if the back pain was due to the Augmentin. Checked the drug medication guide to see what are the common side effects. Back pain is not listed so your comments are a relief to know that its not only me with this side effect.

I took 10 days of Augmentin for a sinus infection that didn't clear up. My allergist a 
prescribed a repeat course of 20 days. My back aches in the general area of my kidneys. Hve I taken too much?

why dosage of augmentin is based on amoxicillin alone?

Augmentin 625: 2x a day
I've been on it for 2 days. Experienced unexplained joint pains and swelling of my hands, feet & face. Can see flashes on my left eye on the 2nd day. Have also noticed that I always want to eat.

My 3 year old daughter has changed personality into a hyperactive maniac! She won't eat and is just buzzing like she had 10 cups of coffee after the augmentin.Yikes.

Yes, terrible aches all over, especially in joints. A horrible medecine.

Has anyone developed boday aches and a fever following only a second dose?  I was perfectly fine,no fever just  abronchial inflamation. feel horrible!

I am on it for second day too. Only side effects I have had was diarrhea, slight headache, and for some reason I have a herpes blister on my hand, which is where the virus lies dormant (until now). I am hoping the blister will go away right after I get off this medicine!

Im on my second day of it, and it seems to be working pretty well for my ear infection. But ive been getting these horrible headaches, which is proboly a side effect. I havent expierienced any other side affects, maybe because ive been eating before i take it.
