Avastin

How long the avastin injection will be in the eyes?
Once the injection is taken will it give any throat infection to the patients.
Will the patient get fever or sickness.

My wife has been on Avastin combination (5-FU and Irinotecan) for quite a few months. She has nose bleed and has developed the following additional symptoms:
1. Bladder wall thickness.
2. Bleeding at the tip of urethra (No infection or cloudiness); persistent.
3. Alkaline phosphatase of over 300
4. Nose bleed.

Except for the nose bleed, I couldn't find out whether others are Avastin related.
Anyone else has similar side effects?

I received Avastin on a Phase II clinical trial for breast cancer.  After the first infusion, I could not walk for ten days.  I was "rawboned."  I told my doctor and I tried to get out of the study.  She told me it was a normal reaction.  She gave me a second dose three weeks later.  I wound up in the hospital with rhabdomyolisis.  Rhabdo is a disease that causes the skeletal muscles to break down, and it feels like you are being crushed beneath a building.  It has been 18 months.  I am still in a wheelchair.  The muscles in my arms, hands, legs and feet have all shrunk and will not extend.  I wen from being fifty to being ninety.  The manufacturer of this drug received millions in funding to develop this drug and billions in profit from promoting it.  A race for the cure?  I don't think so.

My husband received 2 cycles of Avastin, Taxol, and Carboplatin. He has a metastatic tumor on his knee. Avastin didn't shrink his tumor enough to make it possible for him to have surgery, but this week he was rushed to the hospital because he had appendicitis caused by Avastin and  an abnormally high heart rate.

Have any one had a extravasation with Avastin & Oxaliplatin? 50 year old female.
 I had severe swelling and skin thickening after 80 days. My port-a-cath can no longer be accessed or used due to the edema and skin/ cell tissue damage.

I am required to have a new port installed in another location and the old port removed. A dye study on the port shows it is fully operational w/ cathater in correct location. X-ray had to be used to find the port for accessing with the dye study. It is just the skin is so hard the nurse can not feel the port-a cath.

my mother has taken Avastin for small cell lung cancer for the past year and now being hospitalized for severe diverticulitis.

If i were you I would not take Avastin.  You should contact Dr. Burzynski at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, TX.  (713) 335-5697.  Give it a shot anyway. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

I just started Avastin only treatment. I finished the accompanying chemotherapy in June for Stage IV Colon Cancer. With the Avastin only regimen I have experienced, muscle/joint pain, general fatigue and an increase in gastro problems, constipation and stomach pain. There also seems to be a host of skin irritations however easily treated. 

Had Avastin injections for macular edema caused by CRVO. 
Before treatment I started having vision that quivers up & down in that eye occasionally.
No longer on injections but now it is happening any times a day. Is there a connection?

Your opinion, please, on Avastin treatment for a 59 yr. old male at Stage 4 Stomach cancer?
