    After taking Bactrim for 1 week and seeing no improvement in my impetigo my MD prescribed 2 tablets twice a day. I woke up that night with the worst headache of my life. (I don't get headaches!) My neck was stiff and my shoulders and back hurt so bad. My face was flushed but my hands and feet were ice cold. My muscles were sore and I felt like I had been kicked in the ribs. I was foggy and confused and had trouble concentrating. When I laid down my legs were very restless and I had ringing in my ears. MD said I had developed a virus that was causing these symptoms, not the Bactrim. Then, at Day 3, I developed severe stomach pain and heart palpitations. MD said to stop Bactrim at that point. So glad I found this website! Nice to know these side effects are real! No more Bactrim for me.
