The bad aftertaste is always there! (this is my third time medicating with Biaxin)
My colds turn into Bronchial infections, hence, my Doc's use of Biaxin....
This is the FIRST time I've noticed CONFUSION!!!..I am a professional accompanist, and Really noticed my inability to focus, and to concentrate on playing the right notes;...also, the fingers, in my right hand lost their ability to, always play the right notes!!!

I've had to stop my course of Biaxin due to the overpowering metallic taste in my moujth, which has got worse and worse. I've had explosive diarrhea while on the medicine and lower abdominal pain.

I have had the same experience. Only I let it go for 4 months...it did not get better.  My doctor prescribed apolan soprazole 30 mg for 30 days.  It has helped with the stomach nausea and sore throat from acid. If I forget to take a pill the symptoms come on immediatly.  I am wondering if the Biaxin killed all the good bacteria and there is now an imbalance.   Wondering how you are doing and what your doctor has presented to you?

I to had a sinus infection and was prescribed biaxin,I've taken it in the past and the only side effect was the metalic taste in my mouth.This time after taking it for 4 days I was awakened from my sleep with severe pressure in my chest and belching,I was also experiencing severe abdominal cramping in the lower quadrants,I colud not lay down flat or the pressure would build up again.Iam usually regular with BM but have not been in two days.I took gas x for the pressure and a couple of prilosec but it's still here haven't taken any more biaxin in 3 days waiting for my primary to open.

In September 2011, I was prescribed Biaxin for a sinus infection.  At the 3rd day of taking this medication I had severe stomach pain...my stomach was destended and severe heartburn.  I took pepto all night long.  I discontinued the antibiotic, and to this day am still suffering with waves of stomache pain although not  as intense still present and constant heartburn, which I never had up until this experience.  I have tried to correct the problem with activia probiotic yogurt.  Is there an entedote to this medication?  Had I done permanent damage to my stomache?  Please help!

I am taking Biaxin Extended Release and have signifcant insomnia...haven't slept well in 3 nights and great difficulty falling asleep.
I also have lost my appetite..no complaints there.
Is this common.

I was prescribed Biaxin after taking 3 rounds of antibiotics previously for a chronic sinusitis.  I have taken it for a week now.  I am experiencing metallic taste in mouth, joint pains, dull headache, sleeplessness, almost weepy, sad feeling at times BUT my sinuses feel better with no eye pain or facial pain and swelling.  I was told it could take up to 2 doses of 14 day Biaxin to get rid of the sinusitis.  Even with all the side effects, I think I will keep taking it as they can be managed.

It is the worst I was diagnosed with ear infection and sinus.  This medicine has a nasty taste, I felt dizzy, urine was smelling and vaginal odor and yeast infection.  I had headaches.  I never want to take this again!

My son who is 6 years old, had finished a whole round of a different antibiotic for sinus infection- he is up to 25 days of coughing. 4 days ago he was prescribed Biaxin. He has been vomiting -both ends - diarrhea- with severe rash all over his face. We think this is due to the Biaxin because of the rash instead of catching a flu virus. Today is Sunday and we do not want to take him to urgent care.

I was prescribed Biaxin for bronchitis. After taking two tablets I had a moderate case of flatulence and stomach cramps.  The next day, after I ate breakfast, I vomitted, and then again on my third day of taking the antibiotics.  I am still on it. I feel a general weakness, and sad to say, I feel no improvement in my coughing.  I was prescribed to take it for 10 days so I am anxiously waiting if after ten days my coughing would stop, but I feel no different. 

i took biaxin for bronchitis and 30 min. after i took it i had extreme stomach discomfort, i was violently throwing up for ten minutes. I strained so hard i busted serveral blood vessels in my eyes. i then started shaking like tremors except it was more like shivering, but i was not cold. i then of course had a panic attack and started hypervenalating. I became very confused and had to be rushed to the emergency room. I got a shot in the hip and was given some anti anxiety meds. the following day i felt horrible with cramped muscles and just overall bad.I became manic after this and acted like a crazy person and had to take my anti anxiety medicine. Once i took this next medicine i felt as if i was drunk. i couldn't walk straight, i tried to drink out of my cup and it spilled all over me, and i couldn't think straight. i slept the rest of the night and had nightmares. after i woke up in the morning i was very confused, i hallucinated, and my anxiety is still acting up....in conclusion do not take biaxin unless you want to feel as if your losing your mind and dying at the same time.

After taking my first dose yesterday, I became extremely nauseous and it doesn't go away.  I am tired and have no energy to exercise etc...I thought Avelox was bad, until the dr. changed it to biaxin.

I took the first dose of the 14-day PrevPack 3 days ago for treatment of H Pylori.  Within two hours I was feeling dizzy and off balance w/ difficulty concentrating.  A few hours later I started having palpitations.  I did not take another dose.  it is now three am and I am very anxious, I cannot sleep, I am jumpy and I have tingly feeling and numbness in my face and head that moves around to my neck when I lay down.  My dr said 'don't worry about it.' Pharmacist said to take Benadryl.  I did not do that.  I am 51 yrs old and have never had an allergic reaction or a panic attack but it feels close.  I am scared and I don't understand why dr reacts like I am out of my mind.  Feels like my own personal toxic oil spill
