have also just taken bonviva injection 30 hrs ago. same symptoms as yours. how long did the symptoms last?
Did you have to do anything about it?

How best can we deal with them?

taking bonviva for the last two years always feeling unwell for two weeks after taking it.heartburn;flu like symptons.and tingling in my head over right ear reaching out towards my right cheekbone.

A day after taking the first dose of Bonviva, I had chills, fever and headache. Thereafter, headache continued and on the third day diarrhea.

have taken bonviva for about 6 years the monthly one have had no noticable side effects how long should i take this drug i am 76 years old am taking no other medications

I am 58 and taking Bonviva for about  10 years - am now experienced difficulty swallowing (had a gastroscopy because my GP thought I had throat cancer) but specialist said it was intermittent dysphagia and he did not know the reason.  I also have flatulence and constipation and tiredness/lethargy and pains and aches.

I m male 75 Years old from Pakistan. My Doctor recommend me Bonviva. Is this medecine is only for females?

I took Bonviva 150 mg monthly after being prescribed them along with calfovit granules after being diagnosed with mild osteoperosis. I continued with them for 2yrs. After having a knee replacement( very successful) I suffered really bad nausea. Thinking it was probably after efects of the anasthaetic I waited patiantly for this to subside. I continued to suffer for a year and after loosing a stone and a half in weight and dropping from a size 14 to a size 10 I went to my  doctor. He was little help to me and told me to come back if it continued after a couple of weeks. The first thing i did was to stop taking my Bonviva and calcium. After 3 months I slowly began to regain my appetite and feel so much better Now after another 3 months I'm very slowly regaining my weight. I really don't know if it was a side effect of the Bonviva or the calfovit or may be the combination of the two,but I must admit as much as i would like to start taking them again I'm very reluctant to do so.
Has any one else had this problem with the drug?.

I get a feeling of disoriantation for a short time, around ten or fifteen minutes.....

All the side effects written are very dangerous and may cause fatal than hoew come this medicine is still used?

I had taken the first month pill, and I have been experiencing lots of strange sensations... lots of pain while I am sleeping in my legs (from hips to feet), nausea, feeling tired, depressed... I decided to stop taking it, and instead going for natural products. I bought at wholefoods one treatment called raw calcium. The quiropractic doctor told me they seem to work fine and they are natural...

I have used bonviva for four years and have constant pain in my left hip and down to my knee have had xray done of hip and it was fine . Sometimes I feel as if I  have flu and would also experience nausea and diarhoea.I am now considering coming off this monthly tablet but am unsure as to what else is available.I have osteopenia and I would not like to suffer from ostoeporosisat a later stage Iam 55 at rhe moment

Three months ago I was prescibed Bonviva- one tablet per month. After taking this drug I have experienced severe flu' like symptoms which last about 1 week- aches, pains in joints especially fingers. After a week the 'flu symptoms (shivers & feeling hot & cold) cease but I am left with residual finger joint pain, back ache, occasional dizziness and indigestion off and on. I will continue to take this drug in the hope that these side effects will disappear but would be grateful for any other comments by readers experiencing long term effects

I would like to know if it is allowed to use the tablets with mummy

oh dear I am not feeling good at all, 4 days after taking the first tablet stomach and gut cramps, diarrhea, cant eat,pain radiates to back and the worst thing is I dont know how anyone can make me feel better!

After 6 months of therapy with pills bonviva began to hurt me terribly, all joints and all the muscles. horror

my grandfather who si 72 years old is having hallucinations after taking the drug..
