Candesartan

I am using ATACAND since 2008. In the begnning my dose was 4 mg dose and had only occasional dry cough as side effect. In 2010 my doctor increased the dose to 8 mg and after 6/7 months of using this increased dose I started developing a different mix of side effects including more frequent dry coughs, itchey eyes during daytime, loss in labido/sex drive

i took candesartan for 8 months and then developed muscle pain,joint pain and nausea.I Couldnt pick anything and felt weak.Stopped now and wondering what to do next as lisinopril gave me cough,amlodipine gave me swollen gums and beta blockers made me tired!

I have read the report and went to the doctors her atitude was dont beleave everything you read but i have lost my dad and younger brother to cancer its in the family now i am frighten the drug can give me cancer so i have now stopped taking it all the doctor said was to get my blood pressure taken in 2wks time i have been takinig the drug for about 4yrs i dont sleep all night i get stressed over anything i snap out at my partner when i told my gp all she said was do i want someone to talk to i said no, now reading what people are saying about the drug
it must Doctors just dont want to listen its so unfair our lifes are in there hands

 i had pounding heart and severe depression and anxiety  while takeing candersartan. im waiting to see a cardioligist to see if i have done any damage. feel so much better now i have stopped takeing them

Broken sleep..reduced to 4-5 hours in total
Awareness of heart beating quite strongly in the night or when sitting reading
knitting etc.
Dry skin, eczema in ears, dry itchy eyes so unable to wear contact lenses any more
Energy levels soon run down when tackling physical jobs
Doctor's response is dismissive.

Am only on 4mg which is quite low.

In the last months since taking Candesartan I've been experiencing premature ejaculation. I've never had any problems like this before

My partner has just been taken off Ramipril and put on Candesartan ( because of the dry cough associated with Ramipril ). She's on a starting dose of 4 mg, but the plan is to increase this to 8 and later 16mgs. However, she now has a racing and irregular heart rhythm and feels unwell. This started a week after the change in tablets.
