     I have a severe rash all over my body and an inflamation in my throat. I all started the first day I took Captopril 100 mg twice a day.

    I am taking Captopril for more than 5 years and having some problems but my doctor is not serious or unaware of the side effects so did not care everytime i reported to him.
    The major problem I am facing is dry mouth as such I need to drink water freequently other my throat chokes with dryness. At night I need to dring water 3 to 4 times to keep my tonge and throat wet if not my tonge becomes dry and solid.
    I am suffering from engiodema though no one discovered that it is from the side effect of taking Captopril. I am in constant touch with a dormologist and he is trying several allergic medicine but for temporary relief. The doctor warned me if the inflamation starts on the throat than to report to hospital immediately otherwise it may be fatal. The inflamation starts inside mouth/ lips suddenly and goes out after 10-12 hours.
    I am taking captopril 25mg half tablet three time daily.
    I might have other side effects but not serious.
    I am 65 years of age and a patient of congestive heart desease.
