Dental Crown appt - simply…
Dental Crown appt - simply removing temps and placing permanent crowns. Dentist used carbocaine injections which did not dull most of the pain during the procedure and my jaw was throbbing and felt numbness and heaviness in my left eye. I felt internally agitated, but thought it was just because it hurt so much. After the procedure I got up, felt dizzy and could not see right out of my left eye. Since I thought it was just numbness I left, got in car and started driving. I did feel a little dizzy. Within seconds I could not see correctly out of either eye and had major vertigo - - looked like the street lines and other cars were warping. I managed to pull over and sit to call for help. Within minutes my face turned beat read and I was shaking and had a terrible headacahe over my eyes and my jaw was still throbbing. I was too dizzy to exit my car and try to walk for help and my muscles felt very heavy. I could breathe O.K.., but my tongue was swollen at the back and even swallowing water was difficult. It didn't get much worse than this - - but, someone had to come get me and it was 4 hours before it started to ease. It's been 2 days now and I still have a headache and a little nervousness. Terrifying experience. I'm lucky I did not wreck my vehicle and Im even more lucky that I refused the last injection that he offered me since I was in so much pain.
