An otherwise healthy 57 year-old…
An otherwise healthy 57 year-old woman, I experienced severe diarrhea about 10 hours after the nuclear stress test and use of Cardiolite. I also experienced exhaustion, which might have been from the time on the tread mill, but seemed to be from the drug.

MY CARDIOLOGIST ORDERED A…
MY CARDIOLOGIST ORDERED A NUCLEAR STRESS TEST. IT IS A 2 DAY TEST. THE FIRST DAY IS A RESTING TEST. THEY GAVE ME CARDIOLITE INTRAVENOUSLY AND TOOK A SCAN IN 1 1/2 HOUR. THAT NIGHT , I DEVELOPED A SEVERE HEADACHE AND VERY NAUSEOUS & MY HEART WAS BEATING VERY FAST. THE NEXT DAY BEFORE THE STRESS TEST, MY HEART RATE WAS IN HIGH 120'S AND MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS HIGH .THEY HAD TO CALL MY CARDIOLOGIST TO GET AN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE TEST.THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER DOSE OF CARDIOLITE WHEN I REACHED MY TARGET HEART RATE. IT'S THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. IT TOOK ME 4 DAYS TO BE MY NORMAL SELF AGAIN.

Used in a nuclear cardiac…
Used in a nuclear cardiac stress test yesterday, Thursday, 4 May 2010, 8 AM through 11 AM. No immediate side effects described by patient (me) but sleep that evening was fitful with lucid dreams. Patient describes a generalized "feeling of agitation." Patient took a sleep medication but still had difficulty driving into a peaceful sleep. That is why said patient is writing this entry at 3:42 AM, Friday.
