  • I have been on cipralex for…

I have been on cipralex for about five years, 15 mg, and have gained a huge amount of weight, but I felt so much better, I kept taking it. Lately my children have been saying that I have been acting a little silly, sort of out of character, and I thought maybe I could go off my medication. I have been at 10 mg for about two weeks and when I woke up this morning, it seems like this is the first time I have felt clear headed in about four years. I think my stress was situational and a lot has disappeared. I wonder if this clear headed feeling and feeling better means it is time to ease off the medication. In case anyone wants to know, I gained 80 pounds in 5 years.

Week 1. Side effects are decreasing. Good effect on mood. Fatigue still present. Vivid dreaming. Neasea is disappearing more and more as days go by. I am impressed with the medication.

  • No, don't come off it...If…

No, don't come off it...If you read the information, these are exactly the side effects to expect immediately after beginning this drug, but after a week they wear off.
However it appears many people experience other side effects that only emerge after a few weeks...itching appears to be one of those..

Hei ! This is my third month on 5 mg cypralex per day. I have no energies at all, feel dizzy and sleep at least 13-15 hours per day and i could just continue... and I really should work! Tried while at hospital to take 10 mg per day but after few hours... I couldn t move my legs, couldn t speak, couldn t understand where s the floor... they gave me a benzo and helped. Think I can t take more than 5 mg per day. If I stop taking it at all, I just start crying and vomiting and feeling needles puncures all over my body... does anyone feel continuosly dizzy, no energies, sleep all the time even after 3 months having started with that ?

  • All I know is the doctor…

All I know is the doctor started me on 20 mg a little over a year ago, I'm sure he started to much of a high dose and I've had big problems since i was tired 24 hrs a day. Sharp pains all over I have to go for a gullbladder test next week. Tried to go down to 10 mg still having problems. I'm really confused now is this all side affects from the pills or am I physically sick. I really don't like those pills. Hopefully I can figure out what's good for me.

  • keep going, it took me about…

keep going, it took me about 4 weeks before it stopped for me.  the first 2 weeks were really bad, i had tunnel vission kinda felt like a dream.  with in the first two weeks the feeling of falling in my chest went away.  i dont know if anyone else had that feeling before going on the meds or not. anxiety is what they say it was from.  I was able to go back into the malls and crowded places with in 6 weeks with little problems.  just keep going on it

  • I have been taking Ciprolex…

I have been taking Ciprolex for around six months now, it works for me, very well, but I take clonazipam at night because I do not sleep well and they work .  I have a super amount of stress in my life and have had for the last 8 years, but did not go to a Doctor about this until about six or eight months ago.  Ciprolex has done wonders, my husbands says I'm doing so well.  I can genuinely laugh at things that never in my life would I have laughed at, I am more content and happy. I think a lot of people go through life in an anxious or depressive state and don't ever get help.  There is no shame--go see a doctor and explain.  With the weight gain issue--I have actually lost weight!
Ciprolex has given me a new life.  The only side effect is--no sex drive, which is a downer but it's better than being in tears all the time.

  • I have just started taking…

I have just started taking cipralex again a month ago (this is my third crash course since I am manic-depressive and tend to drop medication alot), last week my neighbours house blew up and I have been getting nightmares related to demons trying to make deals with me, and sometimes it has something to do with the house across the street. Umm anyways back to topic, a common symptom of many differend SSRI's is intense & unusual dreams.

  • I have been on Cirpalex for…

I have been on Cirpalex for about 2 months now. I am also in the middle of surgically induced menopauce and taking a biodentical hormone for related issues with menopause, plus high blood pressure medication.
I have been having bad and upsetting dreams since my mom died December 28th, 2010.

Are there any other users of Cipralex having really bad dreams as well ? Are the bad dreams one of the side effects ??

  • I've been taking cipralex…

I've been taking cipralex for 2 and a half years now. My body itch is getting worse, comes and goes. Mainly legs, arms and trunk of my body, usually morning when getting up from bed and now eve evening. i noticed the itch gets worse with water. I am taking 10 mg, but was on 15 and 20 for several months.
I wonder if this is Cipralex side effects, or something else. O saw an allergologist and have no allergies. I have SLE, a mild case and taking Plaquenil for a year now. Thank you in advance for your consultation.

  • I have been on this med for…

I have been on this med for just more than a month now. It has been only 5 mg but my doctor wanted me to change it to 10 from last week. I am not even sure if I need it, but i trusted my doctor. I feel sleepy in the evening so bad that I cannot function. I will wait for another month before stop it but be careful in stopping it. It should happen slowly not sudden.

  • Similar to me when I started…

Similar to me when I started and taken for similar reasons. Trying to come off now and going thru awful side effects despite tapering off the dose slowly. CBT helped alot, went for a 6 week course of 2 hours each session. Talking about it for me would have helped more than the drug, unfortunately it took 9 months to be offered CBT on the NHS! Good luck

  • if it reduces the sexual…

if it reduces the sexual interest? istarted taking ciprolax10 mg 2years agonow i have no interest in my sexual life.what can i do now?

  • I started taking Cipralex…

I started taking Cipralex 10 days ago, just half of 5mg as my system is sensitive. The first week, I was clear headed and had energy felt like myself, but these past few days, I feel very tired, foggy headed and no get up and go.
I have had several major losses over the past 18 months, and needed to function normally. On a 4 hour drive yesterday, I had to pull over twice to have 20 minute naps. Not good. Is this common?
The good thing, no overwhelming sadness and uncontrollable crying.

  • I have been on Cipralex 5…

I have been on Cipralex 5 months now and it has helped me alot. I take 20 mg a day but recently I have started having joint and muscle pain. I plan on taking this medication for 1 year for my depression but the pain I am feeling is very debilatating. I have just started taking an anti-inflammatory but I still have the pain. Anyone have this issue? If so what helped? Thanks.

  • okay so i started taking…

okay so i started taking this rx cipralex 30 days ago. i am a 28 year old type 1 diabetic. a doctor recomended i take this drug to treat what he called a genetic defect or cross wiring of my brain and the way my brain is mapped out to remember the negative more than the positive things. the drug seems to work well for myoverall mood and attitude. it also works well for anxiety and focus. my problems maybe outweighing the benefit in that i cannot seem to control my blood sugar it is constantly spiking uncontrollably high. my sex drive is down and i have trouble reaching an orgasm. should i discontinue taking this??

  • I have been on 10mg of cipralex…

I have been on 10mg of cipralex for about a year now.  I started taking it for burn out depression.  I have experienced constant runny nose increased perspiration joint pain and worse is weight gain.  On the positive side my mood is better I sleep better.  I am easy going   My family appreciates me more on the medication.  I dont know if I should stay on it or not.

  • I was emotionally and physically…

I was emotionally and physically exhausted almost a burn out, so when my doctor offered me 3 weeks off work I took it. My doctor also prescribed Cipralex 10 mg. First 11 days I felt kind of light headed, but on day 12 all of a sudden it was like a switch was flipped on, I felt great, no panic, no fear, or anxiousness. I felt hope, I left like I could make focus and make clear decisions, I simply started to feel like my old self again and now I'm at day 28 and I started to feel really hopeful, positive and happy again. Side effects right now are limited, low libido, I noticed but no others so I am hoping this will pass as time goes by. I have to see my doctor in 6 weeks to follow up but I have to say I am quite happy with Cipralex, and the return of my energy, the pharmacist said if I felt sleepy during the day after taking the pill in the a.m. to take it at night and vice versa. All in all I am quite happy with Cipralex so far, I am greatful to feel better and will stay on it until I get myself back to normal since I have been through a lot of loss last year and this has been a reaction to a tough life situation. I will write again if any new side effects occur but as it is now, my life is much better!

  • I have been on 20 mg of Cipralex…

I have been on 20 mg of Cipralex for over 3 years. It does it's job and I do not experience anxiety. In doing your homework, you will see Cipralex is for anxiety which is part of the "depression" family. One does not label the other.
One of the biggest errors folks can make with any new medication is to self diagnose and not be patient. Give this stuff a chance a  minimum of 6 weeks. If you cant invest that much time your situation must not have been that bad before. Do not measure your feelings on this medication within 24-48-72 hours, you body needs longer to adjust.
If I don't take me meds for 36-72 hours for various reasons, I do start to feel whoozy, but that is my fault.
Relax people, and let the medication do it's job and don't be so anxious to see what's it's doing in the first 48 hours, maybe that's why you need it in the first place.

  • Started taking 10 mg Cipralex…

Started taking 10 mg Cipralex 3 weeks ago.  Doctor prescribed for anxiety and can feel that it working for me.   Just yesterday noticed a red rash (not itchy) and wondering if this could be a side effect?

  • 20mg is a lot. I've heard…

20mg is a lot. I've heard that some doctors ramp you up to 20 when it is totally unnecessary.  I can identify with the sleepiness and I was only on 10.  Read my post below about switching to 5, but don't do it without talking to your doctor.  I was gaining weight too, and that is a side effect but I know in my case it was caused by a massive craving for salty foods in the first 6 weeks at 10 mg.  Good luck!

  • I have been takeing cipralex…

I have been takeing cipralex for the past 3 months I do feel better but I have noticed wieght gain. Is this a side affect as well? I am on 20ml and I feel sleepy all the time. I have no get up and go. Just want to sleep all the time.

  • Started on Cipralex 10mg/day…

Started on Cipralex 10mg/day for generalized anxiety.  Had just about every side effect on the list (joint pain, headaches, sexual problems, backache, etc), with the worst being the fatigue, low libido, erectile dysfunction and delayed ejaculation (never ever heard of that one before).  The anxiety symptoms were "cured" in a week and many of the side effects lessened or went away in about 6 weeks except for the worst ones mentioned above.  On the doctor's instruction I reduced to 7.5mg/day for 2 weeks and then 5mg/day after that.  I am now on 5mg per day and all the side effects are gone completely, but the positive benefits remain.  I have been on it over 3 months now.  At 5mg I still get the occasional mild anxiety and related systems, but they soon pass rather than dragging me down for all day.  You never read about anyone on 5mg, but the doc said it was okay as long as I reduced to 5 slowly.  Good Luck.

  • Is it true that if you have…

Is it true that if you have anxiety it is treated with an occassional sediative, and when you have depression you are treated with an anti-depressant? This was explained to me last week by my doctor. I asked for more repeats of cypralex...which i have been taking for over 2 years now. He asked me how was my depression, which is has never asked me before. I told him i didnt think i had depression, that i have been treating my anxiety with the ciprelex. When i am not on my medication i end up in bed, sick, no appetite, cant eat, shaky, weak, scared and upset. I have a 2 1/2 year old. I can barely take care of him when i am trying to get off my med. I have been on this medication since he was 8 months old. I have attempted to be medication free 5 times and each time i have failed. I told my docotor i am unsure of what i have, all i know is that if i wasnt depressed before i probably am now with 5 failed attempts to be ciprelex free.
    Can you help?

  • I've been on Cipralex for…

I've been on Cipralex for 10 days at 10 mg. My initial side effects were mild diarrhea, drowsiness, and a bit of fog-brain. This is my first time taking an anti-depressant and I decided to take it to deal with anxiety and panic-attacks that were brought on by a personal situation. For the last few days my anxiety and panic-attacks seemed to have disappeared but since yesterday I have been feeling extreme anxiety that feels like an ongoing, non-stop panic-attack. Sleep has been almost impossible. I'm seeing a counselor and I have very supportive friends and family but I'm feeling overwhelmed by the anxiety.
I'm hoping these feelings will begin to subside soon but it is hard to remain hopeful. I just wish I could turn my brain off and see how awesome my life is again.

  • the depression made me lose…

the depression made me lose weight, coupled with anxiety, im now 93 pounds and 5'2. I used to weigh 110 and was nicely plump not fat but you couldnt see my bones like now. Im too scared to take this however, as im paranoid of side effects and allergic reactions!!

  • I have been taking the medicatio…

I have been taking the medication for 2 weeks now and I feel exactly the same.  I am completely exhausted.  I have even stayed in my bed until 11:00 am and literally watched t.v. for the remainder of the day.  I haven't really cleaned the house or cooked a supper since I started taking this medication.  I was exactly the opposite before, burning the candle at both ends.  Go go go all the time.  I decided to go to the doctors because I always wanted to drink wine and have a few cigarettes when I would come home from work.  I am a top seller and I work out.  By the time I went to the doctor to ask for help I had consumed a bottle of wine each night for the past 3 nights and smoked a pack of cigarettes.  I was a mess and crying the whole time.  I certainly don't like the fact that I barely have energy now, but I haven't had a drink at all and I have not had any cigarettes for 4 days now.  I sometimes think my body is healing and needs the rest.  I will wait another 2 wks and see if I can function more before I decide to make a change in meds.  I have had to cancel several shifts at work because I just can't do it.  Yes, I too have had confusion and some blurred vision.  I weigh 115 lbs and everytime I read these things most people are bigger.  I sometimes think my 10 mg dose may be a bit strong for my 5' 2" frame.  I also hope that the exhaustion goes away and I can return to normal.

  • I've been on this drug for…

I've been on this drug for 3 days now , it kinda makes me feel weird but have alreay felt more calm in stressful situations. I'm looking forward to seeing how I will feel in 2-4 weeks. Slight side affects that I can bare till they wear off.

  • I just started taking it…

I just started taking it three days ago and I still feel very anxious and I have no appetite

  • I have also taken just 2…

I have also taken just 2 doses (2x10mg) over two days and feel complete exhaustion.  My head is in a hazy dreamy state, with some blurry vision.  I started taking this for depression but after reading numerous discussion groups and different side effects I don't know how I could possibly function at work and home for the next 4 weeks to ride out these side effects!  I can barely stand up let alone work a nine hour shift!  I am indecisive on if I should continue, my depression was a little easier to handle than feeling like this!

  • Iget a lot off dizziness…

Iget a lot off dizziness ,after taking the pill ,it lasts all day, with hot spells,im on 10mg,should i cut down

  • I have been on Cipralex for…

I have been on Cipralex for 5 months now, and agree with the thread below from life goes on.  It took me about 2 weeks to see the full results.  I started out on 5mg then 10mg.  I didn't want to go on anti'D's since many members of my family are on some sort of medication for depression and I have seen some of the side effects they have encountered and they aren't always pleasant.
My meds so far have pretty much been 'happy valley' for me, not too many side effects and what side effects I do have are slight and very bearable with the exception of WEIGHT GAIN!  Holy crap!  My diet hasn't changed but yet I have packed on 20 lbs in the 5 months of being on the medication.  Everyone in my family has got the same problem with with weight gain while being on anti'D's and it's very frustrating!
I want control of my life and my body health before it spirals downward and the scales go more upward.  I have made a Doctors appointment this week to talk to her about tapering off and maybe taking a different approach.  I have considered the Road Back program, but can't find enough information about it to see if the program works or it's 'too good to be true'  but think I might try the herbal approach to ease my depression and the agression

  • hi everyone im on ciraplex…

hi everyone im on ciraplex now for 6 weeks and the side effects r really getting me the headaches nausea dizzy agitated i gave them all i just wonder shud i quit them the panic attacks have gone but i cant feel like this either i am at my witts end its horrible i have 2 small kids and a dad whos housebound i havnt time to be this way why me

  • My Psychotherapist has started…

My Psychotherapist has started me on just 5 mg.  After a month, or two, or three, he will then up it to the regular adult dose of 10 mg.  There is no way, that my body could have handled the full adult dose of 10 mg.  No way in you know what!  He has many patients starting out that way and they are doing just fine!  He said that there would be no side effects when going from 5 mg to 10 mg, since it will already be in my system.  I was told that my side effects will last for about a week and they have.  I have now taken 6 doses of it and have already seen some benefits.  My mood is much better.  I'm very relaxed, calm and chilled out.  I've only had 1 panic attack and I used to have several per day, sometimes.  Side effects for me, have been:  Burping, letting go (of gas, so to speak), light headedness, feeling very weirded out and comatossed, my hands shake, but ever so slightly, unsteady and unbalanced on my feet somewhat, severely nauseas, loss of appetite and abdominal pain.  I just started feeling more light headed and very sleepy and tired.  I started last Wednesday.  Friday, yesterday and today, have been nausea free days and alot of my side effects are slowing going away.

I am feeling so much better already.  He said that it would take about 3 weeks to really notice the changes.  He is very pleased with my progress.  My nausea has left and my appetite has returned.

I've heard nothing but good things about Cipralex.  Now after reading some of these comments and stuff on the website, it's starting to make me nervous and anxious!  Lol!

I too, have had these weird dreams.  No nightmares though.  Little dry mouth.

I've never heard of it killing someone though.  That's crazy!

  • i still hate my life it does…

i still hate my life it does get better hahahah

  • It was my first and last…

It was my first and last time taking only 10mg of this.
I too had the horrific nightmares.  So scared I called and changed to a different anit-depressant.  Couldn't handle that another night.  So now I will try Zoloft.  Anybody had this before?

  • Don't worry just yet. Since…

Don't worry just yet. Since you just started to take it all the side effects you are experience are relatively normal. Your body just needs to get use and adjust to the new medication. I would wait maybe 2-3 more week and see if the side effects are still present or if they get worse. It takes up to 2-4 weeks or even more for your body to adjust and the medication to fully work - just think, you are going from 0mg-10mg that change the way your brain functions. Even though it is only 10mg it is still very powerful. If they are present or do get worse, I would then go in and see your doctor. I also recommend possibly doing more research on Cipralex to see what the average side effects are and when the side effects are to the point you should see your doctor.
    Hope this helps

  • So I have been on it for…

So I have been on it for two days, so two 10 mg pills total.

The first day after I took it, I got tired/groggy and went back to bed. I felt a little strange al day, with lack of appetite and sexual dysfunction being the two most noticeable signs. Today I feel dizzy, some digestive issues, and I guess the big thing is there's a strange sensation when i move my eyes. kind of a spinning, i guess.

I've spoken to someone with a history of taking various pills and she says I should probably stop this and see someone about a different pill. But after shelling out 125 bucks for these, I don't really have the money for a new pill.

  • I have been on Cipralex for…

I have been on Cipralex for 6 months now, I started on 10 mg and increased to 20. I have found it very helpful, I am happier and can handle stress much better, I wish I had started taking it many years ago. I do get more restless leg syndrome than I used to but exercise seems to help reduce it, I seem to experience more muscle pain and my mouth and sinuses are drier than before. I have allergies so the clear sinuses is a really good thing. I also have really neat dreams, lots of fun, I used to have a lot more bad ones and wake up in the middle of the night worrying. I sleep in more in the morning which isn't always a good thing but it is pleasant. Other than the price it is a good medicine. I would recommend that anyone taking an anti-depressant to do other things to improve their mood, exercise, meditate, etc. to make things even better and, who knows, maybe get off the Cipralex someday. Staying on it won't be hard to handle though. Good luck with it, I hope you have a similar experience to mine!

  • I have been taking cipralex…

I have been taking cipralex for 5 months. It took about 8 weeks to see a difference. I take 10 mg for anxiety/depression(dysthymia). I have no side effects to speak of and it has turned my life around. I'm not a negative grouch, its easier to socialize with people, and it saved my marriage. I have tried other meds before (effexor, wellbutron) with no results. If this medication works stay with it. I will take this medication for ever because life was a disaster for me with out it. For those of you thinking of getting off of it because life is great now DON'T because you will relapse and start to suffer again! Life is short, enjoy it now!

  • Is it possible?  I took…

Is it possible?  I took one 10 mg tablet of Ciraplex last night for depression and  @ hour hours later,  spent  the  rest of the  night nauseous with terrible diarreah, and the most bizarre dreams - nightmares actually - verying from suicidal thought to the maccabre.  How can this be so...in just a matter of hours?  Is it my imagination?

  • I have been on cipralex for…

I have been on cipralex for about 6 months now, initially, I was extremely tired and had headaches and nausea.  I started taking the medication before bed and that helped alot with all of the side effects, but I was still really tired through the day.  After a month the fatigue subsided as well and I started to feel like myself again, what a difference.  Then just recently I started feeling very annoyed all the time and was wanting to sleep a lot.  I went back to my doctor and he increased my dose, so far, it is starting to help, so I hope this will help to get me back to normal again.

I went on Ciprolex approx. 3 months ago, and finally had to discontinue use after severe nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, that would NOT go away.  My skin was ashen for most of this time, I lost 18 pounds, and could only get relief laying on my back.....The most awful experience in my life

  • I am on Cipralex now for…

I am on Cipralex now for about 2-3 months -10mg in the morning for depression, and now am experiencing chronic muscle weakness, chronic pain in both wrists and left hip, chronic fatigue, nausea, constant dizziness, tremors/shaky, restlessness, night terrors, unable to sleep, lack of appetite but still weight-gain, bloating, soreness at back of my skull, confusion, memory loss etc.
Has anyone experienced any of these symptoms and if so were you taken off of the drug

  • I've been on this for a few…

I've been on this for a few weeks, at 10mg a day - which I take around 9am each morning. Sometimes I take it an hour later ... I'm not sure whether that is really bad, but I've been trying to maintain a regular routine. I've also smoked and noticed that my feelings have gone from okay to terrible, especially so when I've tried to fall asleep after a night of smoking alot. Ultimately though, I've been finding I'm less wrapped up in thoughts I've had over relationships and work and family stresses ... I've noticed I've cut alot of people out of my life because of this: realizing it is easier to be happy when you are surrounded by people that u know will only enhance that feeling for you -- or at the very least, not make it difficult to recover. The honest truth is alot of people are sad or down or unhappy and mask it ... and so long as you are focusing on your own path, things will only get better. One life. Live it. Don't feel bad. Take this and seek conversational help with a close or trusted friend/mentor/psychiatrist, and trust in yourself more! I feel good, motivated, and honest. I hope you do too! :-)

  • I've been taking Cipralex…

I've been taking Cipralex for six weeks to treat an anxiety disorder. I didn't think they helped but other's have noticed a change in my mood. I stopped taking them and am currently experiencing nasty withdrawl symptoms. I stopped taking them 10 days ago and I can already notice a major change in my moods. I find myself snapping, yelling and getting very irritated. I spoke to my Doctor and he advised that I go back on them immediately. Now that I see how much of a help they are, I'll be taking them regularly again and I'm excited to get my life back to normal.

  • Doctor has had me on this…

Doctor has had me on this stuff for two weeks and nothing seems to have changed as of today he has upped the dosage to help me get through a tough time in my life.  Still feel anxious, depressed. Can't shake the doom and gloom.

You can't get hepatitis from cipralex

  • I have been on Cipralex for…

I have been on Cipralex for 3 weeks and it is helping, I am more patient and less likely to have negative thoughts even though things otherwise have not been going all that well. I sleep better than before and I tend to sleep in more in the morning, but don't get as tired in the afternoon as I used to. I had a bit of shaky leg syndrome initially, but I have had that in the past anyway. My mouth is dryer, and my sinuses seem dryer too which is great, if that is a side effect, since I have allergies, but that is about it. Using other techniques to reduce/defeat depression and anxiety are important too; social contact, a fair bit of exercise and doing meditation or something similar are as important as the drugs. My experience so far has been positive, if I feel even better in another couple of weeks it will be great. I feel sorry for those it has not helped, because it is quite a relief to feel better. I hope ultimately to reduce from the 10 mg a day once I get my life and brain in better order.

  • After being on cipralex for…

After being on cipralex for one week, I started feeling more depressed, extreem hunger, irritable, panic attacks and tired. My doctor told me that the medican would take 5 weeks before I felt effects from it.  On week two I experienced a severe pain between my rib cage but it didn't last long.  Week three, the pain returned and I had to go to the hospital.  The doctor diagnosed that I had hepatitis which she thinks was a result from taking cipralex.   I am a healthy person and there was no other reason why that should have happened.  It was recommended that I stop the medication.  I have used antidipresants before.  This drug should be taken of the market.

I have been taking ciparlex for three years now and it has helped me quite a bit. However, when i forget to take it... i have experienced trembling, twitching, racing heart beat, red face, cold sweats and hot flashes. This has only happened twice during my usage. I also get very interesting dreams that are not nightmares but very vague and life-like. I have waken up many times thinking that my dreams are just memories from the other night or somehting... Is it normal to suffer severe palpitations throughout the day when taking cipralex? Also disrupted sleep patterns - difficulty falling asleep because of palpitations or waking at 2am and unable to get back to sleep again. Feeling more consistently anxious than before I started taking the tablets.... I have been taking 10mg for the last 12 days.

  • does the sexual dysfunction…

does the sexual dysfunction caused by cipralex affects the male and female equally or there are differences?

  • the side effects of cipralex…

the side effects of cipralex mostly occur at the stage when your brain is adapting to the medicine. but i started to have a problem of having headache and on my right side, there is a tension, my doctor said it is not so common and there might be a muscular tension caused by stress, anxiety. and then she gave me a higher dose. i will leave it once i am strong enough to handle my brain.

what i suggest is that stop reading the side effects, once you believe in it, you will end up having it.
