Cipro

week after taking the medication I had severe tendon/muscle soreness, snapping feeling behind knee, soreness in thumb (as if sprain).... both occured same time, tendon soreness went away after about 1 or 2 months, Thumb soreness lasted only 2-3 days, but then a soreness on inside of knee occured, felt like a large bruise... 3 months later I am still having problems walking, still sore... have been under a "Sport Doctors Care"... who says, no, it can't be the Cipro," that only rarely happens" ~ must be arthiritis. just take Motrin & Exercise even tho there is not any joint soreness! He also gave me a Cortizone shot... that did not work... So I have just been doing ice, rest, elevation and heat at night, and in the past week it appears to be getting "better" Oh, on a side note had a blurred vision problem for 5 days during this period.

really can yogurt get the effects of cipro out?

Age 39 UK - Misprescribed Cipro and given with nsaid. Had sports injury, was athlete. 8 months on still in pain - peripheral neruopathies, joint and muslce pain, continuous head pain/pressure. Inability to exercise, couldnt work for 5 months. Neurological, musculoskeletal and circulatory damage. Cipro is poison for many. Has destroyed a previously happy and healthy life.

was given Cipro for staph which i was told, I had a break out on lower extremities. I have rhumatoid arthritis which the medicine do not mix with Cipro. the allergic reaction cause me to have which the phy said was toxic epidermic narcarosis- tens very painful spots on legs and feet unable to walk on feet upon awakening.very painful!!! this have been since Jan.

I TOOK A 3 DAY DOSE OF CIPRO FOR A UT INFECTION.  I HAVE HAD TROUBLE STRAIGHTENING MY LEG WHEN I GET OUT OF BED.  ALSO, WHEN I SIT FOR A LONG TIME.  MY TENDONS ARE EXTREMELY TIGHT FROM MY HIP INCLUDING MY HAM STRING AND EVEN TO MY TOES.  WHEN I STRETCH MY FOOT I FEEL MY TOES PULLING .  I READ IF ONE HAS DIABETES OR ARTHRITIS THEY SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS DRUG AND POSSIBLE ANY IN THE DRUG FAMILY.  MY PA  KNEW I HAD A KNEE REPLACEMENT AND PRESCRIBED THIS DRUG ANYWAY. I READ THE PRECAUTION AFTER I HAD TAKE ONE DOSE.   

I AM CURRENTLY TAKING CIPRO FOR A BOUT OF DIVERTICULITIS. I HAVE MUSCLE WEAKNESS JOINT PAIN,JAW,NECK AND SHOULDERS  AND FIND MY STOMACH TO HURT TWICE AS BAD. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SIDE AFFECT I QUITE TAKING THE CIPRO FOR ONE DOSE AND THE STOMACHE ACHE DIDNT START AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT DOSE.IM HAVING BLURRED VISION ALSO.

it's been two & a half years for me some symptoms go others come. at first, insominia was unbearable. now extreme fatigue after eating no fatigue when fasting. the cipro set off sleep apena so i don't know which symptom belongs to which ailment. some say they can't get out of bed but i believe walking everyday no matter what has helped

Blinding headache, stomach swollen and gassy - made eating the smallest thing uncomfortable, blurred vision, gagged easily on toothbrush to point of vomitiing, joint aches, body aches and pains. What a horrible drug! I was put on it after kidney stone surgery, I preferred the way I felt with kidney stones. After a few days, I realized that I was not going to be able to finish the 5 day treatment and took yogurt (cancels the effect of Cipro). Began to feel better within a day or two. Took another week to feel much better. Headache took 3 days or so to go away, vision straightened out within a few days. Wow, after reading about some others long term effects, I feel lucky to have gotten off lightly! What a horrible drug. Be very careful about taking this drug. Make sure that the Cipro isnt the cause of your symptoms even more so than the problem which caused you to be prescribed Cipro.

Only took 3 50omg over 36 hours.  Symptoms began on first or second pill and got worse after the third, when I called my uroligists office. Knee, ankle wrists are all popping, painful, sometimes shooting pains.  Back stiffening.  Trying to stay immobile to avoid ligament tears.  Doc's nurse sure that it's not the Cipro?!  Either ignorant, stupid or evil, don't care which.  Will wait for this to subside and see if I can go on some detox, since I've come to believe this is fluoride poisoning.

Took Cipro 2x 500mg / day for UTI. Symtoms actually started during taking the pills, but now, 2 weeks later are worse. Stiff joints, extreme fatigue, sleepiness, as if I caught a bug or something, and doesn't get better. Each morning is torture to get up. Used to jog every day, now I just try get through the day. How long are these symptoms gonna last? Are they ever going to go away? I'm not my old self and it's really frustrating!
