Ciprofloxacin

Well, It all started 3 days into the 7 day script. I was shopping at a grocery store heading towards the checkout line. The room started spinning and my knees felt as though they were going to give. I thought that I was going to pass out! My doctors says that this medicine is making me dehydrated, not to mention that I had started to have runny bowl movements. For the next 5 days, it was horrible.... Nausea and light headed... I was on Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2X day. Becareful when taking this med.

After a couple of days on Cipro, I started to have hallucinations.  I remembered yellow dots and other figures.  So bad that I had to change meds.

I am a female  was 65 years of age when given cipro for an infection. I developed PMR immediately after  was so stiff I could not even push the gas pedal in my car-Here I am almost three years later   and I still have flair up and am still on Prednisone and I have anxeity and depression  someone should get this drug off the market!

I took a tablet of Ciprofloxacin 500 mg just an hour ago. I am 47 man and this drug prescribed to me because of prostatitus. In 5 min time after taking a tablet  started itching on entire body and a face. Roughly in 20-30 min I have got a feeling like my chest was compressed by something. Compressing was very strong- I could't breath, move, and so on. Now I know what stroke is like. I really thought that i am dying. How could any idiot sell it like a medicine? gena2008@mail.com

i am 17 years old and im taking ciprofloxacin for my kidney infection, and at first i thought i was just being silly but i started to see things and like now it is more intense.like things are there them gone and like untill recently it hasn't botherd me only annoyed me a bit,but i started having nightmares. like i never dream and now i am waking up heart racing because of scary dreams, and just like about an hour ago i heard a tornado drill that wasn't acutlaly happening. it is really scaring me and i looked it up im in the one percent that this happens to and i don't like it im afria dit is gonna get worst. i can't sleep im sweting clammy heart racing and topping it off anxiety

My husband used Ciprofloxacin 500 mg several times over the last few years, each year he had been experiencing stroke like symptoms, this year he was given the medicine by mistake and now he has no feeling in his right lower leg and limited feelings in his lower back.

THE FIRST TIME I WAS ON CIPRO I LOST USE OF MY HANDS AND ARMS FOR A PERIOD OF ABOUT A WEEK...THAT WENT AWAY..HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS FROM CIPRO..THOUGHT IT WAS FROM MY SURGERY...THEN I WAS PUT ON IT AGAIN AND THIS TIME  I LOST THE USE OF THE UPPER PART OF MY INDEX FINGER..AND HAD TERRIBLE PAIN IN MY ARMS...THE DOCTORS SAID BE THANKFUL IT IS ONLY ONE FINGER, BUT FROM THE LOSS OF THAT ONE PART OF MY FINGER THERE IS ALOT I CAN'T DO WITH THAT HAND...NOW NO MORE OF THAT TYPE OF ANTIBIOTIC.

I've been taking ciprofloxacin and now I am experiencing muscle pain and weakness. 

Sorry, that was ITP or, idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura...

elderly patient with IT and massive mastoid sinusitis being treated with vancomycin/cipro IV duo. Side effects???
