  • Severe serious prolonged…

Severe serious prolonged esopohigitis flareup. I reported this to BAyer and a nurse who works for them called me and interviewed me in detail. Stopped the Citrical, the flareup immediately cleared up.

  • Take Citracal Calcium + D…

Take Citracal Calcium + D with Genistein 1200mg per day...about 5 days into it. Horrible gas pressure in abdomen and bowel w/loud gurgling...back and 'under rib' pain, both sides (FYI - no gallbladder). I have GERD & IBS-C...both have been antagonized by this product. Stopped it today! Who would have thought a calcium supplement would be so hostile to the body!

  • Citracal Calcium + D with…

Citracal Calcium + D with Genistein 1200mg per day, 3 days in and excessive abdominal gas. Acid reflux also flaired back up.

Since previous back injury did not associate back pain with Citracal, just assumed I had done something to trigger the pain.

Are the side effects worth the benefits?

  • Hi, I get throat tightness…

Hi, I get throat tightness and chest discomfort regularly....I began taking citrical/calcium around the same time I was diagnosed with a nickel allergy.
A symptom of the allergy is mouth & throat swelling and excess mucus.  This leaves as soon as nickel is removed.  hence I am careful of nickel exposure.  I am wondering if the Citrical is causing this and not the nickel..I take citrical regularly 1500 daily per the mds rx. I believe I will go w/out the citrical for a month or so and see if this is the throat problem....thanks.  I would never have guessed this.  Seems so benign sitting on the pharmacy shelf.
