Clonidine

I take only a portion of a 0.1 mg Clonidine once a day. Since I have been taking this medicine, the have been times that my skin feels that needles are sticking in it---this is all over my body. Has anyone else had this happen? I don't know for sure this is from this medicine, but it started shortly after I started taking it.

My goodness.  I believe every one of those persons talking about this medicine.  It is so true and I've only been on it not even a month and I have all of those symptoms.   I am so tired of falling asleep anywhere. That's not like me. I started taking half of the pill at night when I go to bed.  Still sleep falls on me as soon as I get quite. So what I've decided to do is to break it down even more to see how it will work. Now if it still effects me the same way then I will quit taking them all together.  I don't feel hooked.  Praise God!!!!!! I am asking God for full healing in this manner. I will overcome this mess! Terrible!!! Thats the word. Dr. put me on 0.1 m twice a day after a scare of severe BP ended up in the ER. I was already taking Ziac and Diovan 160m. Brought my BP down so fast I had a crazy sensation come over me. Also stayed tired and spacy all day. Cut back to 1/2 tablet twice a day. Was fine till the 4th day. Pressure started rebounding and felt terrible. Right now I am sick to my stomach and BP is elevated. Called the Dr. yesterday and she didn't return my call. Want to come off this med. but know I have to wean off. My advice to anyone is never start this drug.

my son has got adhd asd and torreettes i found his tempers where alot worse after taking clodine

Anxiety and waking dreams about mouth. The dryness of mouth so annoying tha the reason for taking med not worth discomfort.

After taking clonidine 0.1mg  cut 9in half, for two dauys, twicw a day: it felt like a I had a terrible gastric ulcer. i TOOK IYT WITH A MEAL AND DRANK 10 OUNCES OF WATER. i  took it again the next day with the same result.
Do they make enteric coated clonidine??
It did contro; my BP very well; and did not respiratory distress as verapamil did!

I find this medication terrible. I dont know about anyone else but I have found that my body has become addictived to this drug. I have only been on this drug since June 18, 2010. I am on the patch 2mg plus one 1 mg tablet 2x per day (total of 4mg) If I do not take this mediction exactly within one hour before it wears of I start to go trough withdrawls. My head get tight my body starts to shake and I start to have a feeling of doom.When this first happen to me I went to the Emergency Room because I did not know what was happening to me. They discharged me because My blood pressure was not that high. Lucky for me My doctor's office was accross the street. I went to see him.
He told me that this was one of the side effects of the drug. I told him that I could not live this way. He said this feeling would eventually go away but I had to stay on this drug because when you dont take this drug your blood pressure could spike very high. I was devastated to find that I was taking a drug that could potentially kill me if not taken timely.I have told the doctor that he had to find a way to get me off this medication. I can not function on this med. My vision is getting worse, I have difficulty concentrating, I am extremely aggitated and nervous all the time not to mention that I am so tired I can barely walk a block. I recently spoke with two different doctors who told me that I should not have been put on this med alone. I am so frustrated I dont know what to do. No one seem to be able to help me. Am I doomed to be this sick the reat of my life or is there something that can be done.

head, ears, throat, too tired, hate to take it.....Dr. said it is a nasty pill but still prescribed it.  also, constipation/ loose stools. stomach discomfort....leg / foot spasms at night

truble sleeping after taking .4mg  total

i started with taking 1 at bedtime .1mg  then bp went up then went to .1 4 per day didn't last then tried Transdermal system this didn't stick to my skin result no medicine delivered i went thru withdraw ?

rashes, itch, soreness, pain

I just started on Clonidine for excessive sweating of the scalp and face, but also for insomnia. I had to take .3 mg to get sleepy. I woke up this morning with several canker like sores on the inside of my lips. Anyone else had this happen? I also use a cpap machine and am on other medications.
