  • This Monday I had two cortisone…

This Monday I had two cortisone injections done one in each knee. The day after I work up with my severe depression I am on medication for and nothing could help. Luckily I had support of family, friends and a chriopractor who is helping me through this. I would take the pain anyday then have to live through that again. It is only Sat. and still not great but better. I cannot believe doctors who give cortisone shots are not aware of the side affects with depression and other ailments. And I developed a very weird rash on both ankles (squiggly lines). I went to my Dr. and the emergency room twice because of the both of these reactions. My whole body hurt and the rash. They gave me morphine both times to calm and ease the most horrible pain I've ever been in. It helped and the rash they ALL had no clue what it could be and referred me to a dermatalogist. Like I really was in the mood to call for a rash. I CANNOT believe emergency room personnel and other doctors had no clue why I felt so terrible. One emergency room Dr. actually seemed annoyed because I came back a second time to the emergency rm.

  • I had 5 shots over 6 months…

I had 5 shots over 6 months for whiplash and back pain because I want to have another baby and am concerend about carrying a pregnancy with all this muscle spasm in my back. About 3 months into treatment I started getting week long periods every 12-14 days and have stopped ovulating. I also get frequent headaches, muscle spasms in my legs and feet while I sleep and heart palpatations several times a day. Several days after each shot I have urinary incontinece. I went to a fertility Dr for help. He told me my hormone levels are all out of wack from the cortisone in my system and although there were follicles being produced by my ovaries, the cortisone is blocking my brain from sending the signal to release the egg and ovulate. I haven't had cortisone in a month but am still having all the side effects and am now ooking at fertility treatments to try and get pregnant. I wish my orthopedic  Dr would of told me all these things could happen from cortisone. I would of dealt with the back pain, because in comparison to all I have to go through now, it was easier.

  • I had 2 shots in the past…

I had 2 shots in the past month, the first shot I had little side effects, the 2nd shot my legs where weak unable to walk without shoes, and high anxiety, like  want to jump out of my skins, nights sweats, headache this can last up to 6 weeks, also experiences palpations, depression and at times my whole body ached,

  • I had a cortisone injection…

I had a cortisone injection on friday the 15th of October I have kept my diabetes under controll thru a Byetta pen.  Not 24 hours after the injection my readings have went out of sight! I have the hou flushed feelings and totally feel starved all the time because i am afraid to eat. I have went to the doctor he added actose 15 mgs once a day to my diabetic meds but it hasnt helped my readings are still in the 350 range and i dont have to eat much of anything.  This has me so and my body so overwhelmed..im nearly in tears i think if the doctor had told me this before i took it...I would have rethought this. The pharmacist said tonight this might be like this until the shot wears off...i cant be like this for 6 months!

  • Had cortisone injections…

Had cortisone injections in both shoulders one week ago.  Within 24 hours was experiencing more severe pain in shoulders, insomnia and headaches.  Within 3 days above symptoms continuing also bloating, nausea, anxiety, restlessness, palpitations, depression, hot flushing and sweating 24/7 and the list goes on.  These symptoms are severe and I feel very very ill. Am seeing my doctor next Monday meanwhile have spoken to Chemist who has advised me to try not to get to overwhelmed and there is nothing that can be done other than hope it passes out of my system asap.  I realize that everyone is different but would appreciate from others who have been or are in a similar situation a bit of a timeline as to how long this might continue.  Thank you.
