Coumadin

I HAD IN 2007 PULMONRY EMBOLYSM AFTER 1 WEEK IN THE HOSPITAL I WAS DISCHARGE WITH BLOOD FILTER AND A PAT TO COUMADIN CLINIC ! THE DR FROM THE CLINIC INCREASE THE DOSE OF COUMADIN FROM 2,5 MG TO 5 MG AND THAN TO 20 MG DAILY! I TOLD HIM A BELIVE IS VERY HIGH DOSE ,AND HE SAID NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I HAVE PAT HO IS TAKING 21 MG DAILY!!!!!! I REALY BELIVE I DO NOT HAVE LONG TO LIVE MY SYMPTOM WAS TERIBLE I WAS SKARY FOR INTERNAL BLEEDING .I STOP TAKING COUMADIN!! AFTER 30 DAYS THE BLOOD FILTER WAS REMOVED! I BELIVE THE DR FROM COUMADIN CLINIC IS VERY RESPONSIBLE BECOUSE I AM NOT FEELING WELL I BELIVE THIS DOSE OF COMADIN DAMGE MY HEALTH ! --MY KIDNEY!

On March 1, 2011 I was taken to the ER and admitted because of blood clots in both lungs and also in both legs. I was in the hospital 8 days on IV heparin. They do not know why I clotted, but now I am on coumadin for life. I am MISERABLE!!! My hair is falling out and I have gained 30 lbs in 2 months! Don't get me wrong, I watch what I eat!!! My hair dreser assured me that I had a little regrowth yesterday when I had a haircut. Today I have an appt at Coag Clinic and Dermatology. I will tell them I am not taking this crap anymore.....

My 83 year-old mother has been on 5mg of Coumadin for DVT since August of last year.  Her quality of life is slowly deteriorating, to the point where is nealry housebound.  She said she has never felt so tired, muscle cramps, cold intolerance, mental confusion, constant nausea as she is lactose intolerant and lactose is used as a filler in Coumadin.

We have voiced our concerns about this drug to mum's Haematologist, her GP, pharmacist, Anti-coagulation clinic and they all say the same thing - it's not the Coumadin.  She is so nauseas that she has to force food down as she is type
2 diabetic and has to eat.

This drug is sucking the life out of her day by day, my heart breaks for her & the fact that no one will take her concerns seriously.

i'm taking coumadin 2.5mg mon,tue,thurs,fri,sat and sun then 5mg for wed..
i wanna ask if what really are the side effects of taking coumadin?

since ive taken coumidin i have had several blood infusions and iron infusions.  Come to find out i have AVM of the G.I. Tract and coumidin irritated the issue to cause internal bleeding.

I had a subdural hemmatoma in my seventh vertabae from coumadin. It's been seven months and i'm numb from the chest down, my legs are always burning and hav'nt been able to have sex since it happened. I have terrible pain around my back to my chest. I went to a neoural surgeon and he said i'm lucky i'm not paralized because most people that this happens to are. He said it could be another 6 months to ayear before i feel any change if then. Bottom line is i don't recommend anyone take the drug   the chances are terrible that something bad could happen.  

i take 10 mg everyday

Does coumadin cause constipation?

Doctors tell me this is not from medication but my muscles and joints ache so much I can hardly move or perform daily tasks or take care of my personal needs. I also have experienced horrible shortness of breath. Again they tell me this is not the medication but probably anxiety.
The am finding more information on the internet that makes me think the Coumadin is causing my health issues.
Had blood clot in leg mid December. Have been tested and no clots found but they want a 3 month treatment. Everyday has been a living hell since I started this medication. Mona 

I was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden and placed on Coumadin. since that time, I have noticed hair loss, aphasia, and a diminished libido.
