Depakine

I have taken Depakine for about six months ago because I have suffered Bipolar disorder suddenly, but my hair fall out severly .Now it stopped falling out but i noticed changing in hair texture. Does anyone has this broplem after using depakine?? and is it will last ?? but allhamdulilallah my hair now growing up but am worry about the texture because my hair is silky and stright but after taking depakin it becomes curly and thin....please tell me is this will last?

some day i didn't know what happened to me ..i felt like i lost part of my concentration .i went to the doctor and after visiting him many times he concluded that i am normal but i didn't feel okay.
the Dr. gave me depakine chrono just like this without knowing what is my problem!
i took it for about two and a half year depakine chrono 500 mg. and i still have my problem .
on the other hand, i experienced many side effects:
1-seeing white spots or white lights sometimes in my visual field.
2-fast and strong heart beating.
3-shaking hands.
4-laziness .
5-feeling that life will end "depression".
6-knitting the gum all the time.
...and sorry for my english i am not that fluent i am lebanese

i also have difficulties with my memory.. it started 3 or 4 years ago

i'm 19 and i've been taking depakine chrono (100 mg a day) since i was 10 for my night seizures. i agree with moveba i have lack of concentration, waight and hair problems and headaches..{ if anyone has some information that can help please shere it}

obviously when i started taking depakin chrono 5 years ago i was improoved but by the time i started to feel nothing...cannt express my feelings and i was very slow in almost every thing ..not like the old times but i am not feeling better only stressfull emotions kept inside me and i lost my will to do any thing..i stopped this medications from almost 6 months now..started to feel good in first few days but now i am having my seizures back and bipolar attacks back..besides i dont know a good alternative to it

obviosly you must have been prescribed this because you were a "know it all" and the medications purpose is to retard you since society is full of bullish. I reccomend you stop taking this deprakote and SUE yeah that is right SUE the hell out of he doctor's, lawyers and judges that ordered it for you. ALSO GET COMPENSATED BY THE GOVERNEMENT FOR YOUR CRUEL AND UN USUAL TREATMENT.

I have been on 800mg daily for about six months and do not have any side effects other than an increased libido. Strange since I am 84 this year. My hair is thinning but it does not seem too severe.

I'm 32 years old and i was diagnosed with bipolar disorders two years ago. since then i started taking Depakine chrono 1000 mg a day and after 6 months i reduced the dosage on my own to 500 mg because i was havening severe dizzines and i was not being able to function properly at my job because of long periods of apathy and lack of concentration. I gained a lot of wieght and i still have this problem. i'm trying physical activity, food controlling, etc, but i doesn't work. I almost stopped drinking although i have the occasional glass of wine from time to time. the problem is that for some months now i have been experiencing strange symptoms like skin irritations, itching, deafness in my left ear and tremors. i sweat a lot and my speech gets confusing sometimes. I have sleep disorders and i'm living all the time in my past memories.Ii gather this last one is somewhat good, but it is affecting my ability to make the most of my time and work sistematically. i read somewhere that if i plan to have a baby i must be aware of the defects the baby would have because of depakine. my doctor didn't tell me anything about this. and i don't know if it's a lifelong treatment or i can stop taking it some day.if someone has had the same experience or if someone stoped taking it and not switched to another drug, please advice me because i'm afraid the side efects will be getting worse with time.

I usually take out my stress through a lot of running but since i injured my ankle movement was a no no for 3 years now.

maybe u need a syrup as the tablet is not being absorbed for some reason enough. 
I heard of a friend's experience on this too, with syrup she is all well now

I am 22 years old. i have a history of fainting all of a sudden. However, in the past 5 years i was very much normal but just last weekend. i fainted again and i believe i was gone for some seconds only . but did get a bad hurt on my head nd body ache. 

I'm using Depakine since nine months recommended by my doctor, and the crazy thing is that , the level of this drug in my blood is very low ( not in norme )

I have developed acne. I am 61 years old. I have been using depakine for one month. Also fatigue.

I have a baby girl 7 months and used depakine sabril syrup and tablets. A pediatrician said there predepileptik disorder. Please doctor tell me whether these two drugs submitted together because it does not stop attacks, although 4 weeks using both medicines.
The attacks are not like the classic epilepsy can be seen in Fig. There are slight cramping and braking arm and a painful grimace on his face.
Can you explain the effect of both drugs and sharing, since we are on the Internet found information that sabril has a bad effect on vision. What are the effects of both drugs when used to cure disease.

i have a 9 year old daughter that have got a minor fits when she was 3 months and she was on depakine for 3 years.Can depakine trouble her concerning her studies?can she become nervous at times?can she has memorisation problems?
because as she grows i can see that change.please advise me....

OVERDOSING CAN CAUSE DEATH! I AM NOT 100% SURE, AS I AM NOT A CHILD. 90-100 kg adult takes 3 x 500 mg (three times a day), and it can be say 1 tablet at 8:00 and 2 at 20:00. +/- 1 hour of accidental difference is not a problem, if more, better skip the dose. I SUPPOSE for a child up to three-four years not over 500 mg, up to six-seven - 750 mg, over 15 years - as adult But it depends on the patient diagnose, condition, etc., so if possible ASK A DOCTOR. HTH and still not late. 

In case of medical emergency you should immediately call 911 and contact your medical provider asap.
