as if i'm having/developing an ashma

i am using dilzem more than two years now.one year before start suffering shortness of breathing and sleep apena.

I have been on Dilzem for several years; but for the last three weeks approximately, my ankles hve begun to swell from about an hour after getting out of bed in the mornings until I return to bed at about 10pm. During the night, the swelling subsides.  I understand, this could be one of the side effects of Dilzem. Is this a fact?
