does diovan cause as a side effect a cough ?

Elena: I am new to this post but had to tell my story about Diovan 80mg. I started out taking DiovanHCT 80/12.5mg 5 years ago I was also diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, after taking it for the 5 years I just could not put up with the lightheadedness and just the overall way the pill made me feel so I told my doctor I remember going to her office that day and my left hand shaking, first she wanted o tell me it was aniexty bu then she decided to tell me that it may be the HCT that is in the Diovan and decided to remove it and just pu me on the Diovan80mg I filled the prescription but for some reason it took me 5 days upon filling it to take the first pill, on 10-4 and 105-11 at 7:00am I took the pill, by the days end on the 5th i developed edema in my left leg and ankle,headache, lightheadedness, heart flutters,and palptations,flu like symptoms you name it I had it, I phoned her and she told me to discontinue use, now by the 12th I went in as triage and found out i have a utinarytract infection, and this morning it feels like my right kidney is sore. Please those of you out there who are under a doctors care do not take Diovan80mg the pill needs to be removed from the medicine list PERIOD!!!

my Mom is on Diovan, don't know how long because she was on before than changed and back on Diovan...needless to say, she has a severe rash with blisters. Doc tells her it's poision ivy. I told her to stop taking the Diovan because of all of the side effects. She gets her skin biopsy results during the week.

six days ago starated dovan 160 mg. Awoke this a.m. with bruising under eye, turning purple/yellow as day progressed. Primary will see me tomorrow afternoon.Pharmacist advises skipping dosage tonight. Any one else with this side effect?

excesive flegma

Taking Diovan 80mg which lowered blood pressue but developed tremor in right hand, restless leg syndrome. 49 years old, healthy women. Blood pressure never returned to normal after pregnancy 11 years ago. Was on Altace but developed cough. Tremor from Diovan severe enough to be tested for Parkinson Disease. The temor developed suddenly after being on Diovan for only a few months. No other symptoms associated with Parkinson Disease. Looking at alternatives such as herbal remidies for hypertension.

excessive weight gain, joint pain,diarrhea

I have been on Diovan 80mg for about 9 months.  Looking back, that was when i lst noticed ringing in my ears, which has gotten worse.  Now one ear sounds like a bad speaker sometimes when sounds are on a certain level.  No problems with that before.  Also lower back pain and some hand pains in joints....I am an extremely healthy 64 year old woman.  Blood test amazing...but got high blood pressure and use to take Lisinopril till i developed a cough with it.  No side effects at all with Lisinoopril.

59 years old .perscribed diovan for high blood presure.after 2 monthes i have mustle pain,joint pain,waight gain,bloting of midsection,no energy,no sex drivecant sleep because i cough half the night headachs,and just feel generly lousy.blood presure went from 146 /90.to136/85.is it worth it? i thnk not.life at 60 is hard enough at times......
