  • judy, i had the same thing…

judy, i had the same thing happen after my 2nd and 3rd injections of dysport. i am guessing i'm allergic, they were large swollen red bumps that ended up weeping and breaking open. it felt like there were little mini hard nodules inside the larger red swollen bumps. they are finally going away after going on cipro for about a month. i also got sick like a severe sore throat and flu like symptoms 24 hours after the injection. were your bumps similiar? I hope you are feeling better! i'm definately going with botox next time.

  • I had Dysport injected for…

I had Dysport injected for crows feet Sept 30 2011. This was my 2nd. First one I had in May 2011 without side effects. The very next day I started getting neck and shoulder pain. Two days after I had extreme pain of neck, shoulder and arms with major anxiety. I went to my PCP and he prescribed me anxiety meds and pain killers. I had flu like symptoms for weeks. Then in Nov I got sick with cold/cough. My body was so toxic I could not fight it off and was hospitalized. It took me three weeks to shake that, finally got rid of the cough/cold, but I still have the other symptoms; extreme fatigue, neck pain, shoulder pain, arm pain, arm/hand numbness, leg pains. This is not coincidence!! Something is very wrong here. I pray I get back to normal sometime soon. Has anyone had these symptoms after Dysport injections?

  • I had similar symptoms. …

I had similar symptoms. I had Dysport On Sept 30 2011, the next day i woke up with neck and shoulder pain and extreme anxiety. I caught a cold in november and my immune system was so beat up I had to be hospitalized. Got rid of the cold finally, but have so much body pain aches and extreme fatigue I had to stop working. Can not do normal activities. I wonder when this will get better.

  • I had Dysport injections…

I had Dysport injections in the glabellar area and for bunny lines in mid-August, 2011. I had approximately 70-80 units total. Two weeks later, I couldn't breathe. I was wheezing so badly my doctor wanted to put me in the hospital and gave me Albuterol. I've never had asthma in my life before this. This subsided about one or two weeks later. Then, the Dysport started spreading all over my forehead, with little beads and large bumps and lumps combined and my forehead was all red. Then, this sort of subsided, but I still have the little beads on my forehead. Then, about 1-1/2 wks. ago, I accidentally slept on my glasses and the nose piece made a very deep dent inbetween my eyebrows. It looked like I stabbed myself with a knife there. So, I started manually massaging the dent to try to get it back to normal. However, by doing this, I, again, spread huge lumps and bumps all over my forehead, all the way up to my hairline on the top of my head. After a while of doing this, I eventually got the lumps to lessen to the point where I looked almost presentable. However, I was left with a swollen and red nose bridge and a HUGE RED LUMP all the way from my nose bridge, up over my left eyebrow and near the left hairline right next to my left eyebrow, and with various small bead-like lumps on my forehead. AND IT HURT! It is now over a week later, and the large red lump subsided, but is still there. I also now have rosacea-like, cherry colored rashes on both cheeks, which come and go, unpredictably. Is this ever going to dissipate? Help!

  • Hi Joyce, My name is Valerie.…

    Hi Joyce,
My name is Valerie. I've tried to be discreet & have used in the past an alias name. I'm so sorry for what you are experiencing. I too have had a terrible experience.
I went through so much trauma & have lymphoma cancer NOW in both tearducts as a result of the injections. I've also contacted a lawyer and the FDA. If you have any information to help with my case, it can also very well help you and the other people that have suffered. I'm so far the only one that has experinced the extreme result into cancer. No fun at all

  • Eyes are swollen and both…

Eyes are swollen and both are watering.

  • I am experiencing these symptoms…

I am experiencing these symptoms as we speak. I was injected by Dysport a week ago and fell ill few days afterwards. I felt so weak one day that I had to stay in bed. Just like you, I was very strong before the Dysport treatment. I survived winter without flu or cold.
I warned my doctor no to inject Dysport close to my eyes and not to put a strong dose, because I do not wish to have drooping eylids. My eilids drooped anyway and as a result of it, I look older than before the treatment. I assure you, this was my last affair with Dysport.
I never experience these symptoms when I get the same treatment in Prague, Czech Republic. I wonder about that.  I do not have a logical explanation for it.

  • Melissa how are you doing…

Melissa how are you doing now 2 months further down the road. I'm about 4 1/2 months into it and had a setback again this week. Does it seems to be getting better? The numbness in the arms is worsening at night and my right hand is not functioning the same as my left. My metabolism is still out of whack. I pray this is nothing permanent and that it will eventually go away.

  • I hope that you are feeling…

I hope that you are feeling better.  I experienced what you did...my symptoms peaked at week 4-5.  After that they came and went in severity for the next 6 months.  I am now 11 months post-injection and am much better.   Once you get through the first 3-4 months....you will start to feel better...at least to the point where you can function again.  This stuff takes awhile to get out of your system but you should be normal again eventually.  Try to stay positive...I know it is hard but there are some of us out here that have survived this nightmare and can tell you that you will be okay.

  • You know, Dysport contains…

You know, Dysport contains human albumin along with bovine products, so any virus or contamination would be injected into you.

  • Two days later after getting…

Two days later after getting Dysport injection in my forehead, I ended up getting a sore throat and a head cold, runny nose, sneezing, needing to blow my nose every 5 minutes.  I haven't gotten a cold in many, many YEARS and keep my immune system strong.  I was even around my daughter and grandson who had been very sick a month before this and never came down with anything.  Then I get this injection and two days later feel like crap.  HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS?

  • December 2010 I had the minimum…

December 2010 I had the minimum of the Dysport in my forehead and crows feet. The following day my eyes started swelling and I've had severe eye infections, have lost my total ability to tear, and the pain from dry eyes are beyond words. I'm devastated and look like a freak! I've been seeing doctors and nothing is helping me. I'm noy vain, yet I had pretty eyes before this tragedy. And I'm barely hanging on now with hope for healing.

  • can i take aleve or ibuprofen…

can i take aleve or ibuprofen 3 days after dysport injection. sever headache and swollen droopy eyelids?

  • My reaction has just seen…

My reaction has just seen me leave emergency. I had unbelievable swelling of the throat, mount nerve pain that was a 15 out of 10, temp, headaches that were shattering, my throat closed and tongue swelled to twice its size. My arm went numb, I still can not swallow and have lost feeling of my throat and inside my mouth. Nothing helps me sleep and no one knew what was happening. I am so glad i am not alone. It is awful and unbearable. I am hoping someone can tell me how long until i can feel my throat again, lose the headache and start speaking normally again..... It is killing me and now the depression is creeping in worse every day.

  •  Horrible!!!!!!!  Neve…

Horrible!!!!!!!  Never again!!!!  Swollen cheek on one side and pain for five months.  Still looks funny.  When will it end!!!

  • 5 days ago I tried Dysport....…

5 days ago I tried Dysport.... have had a headache since day 1. Your headache is most likely from the Dysport.

  • I've been getting Botox injectio…

I've been getting Botox injections for the last 15 years. The worst symptoms I encountered were a slight headache and/or some bruising. 5 days ago, I had Dysport injections in the glabella area (between the eyes). Have had a headache since day 1 and now have horrible bruising in the area and around the right eye and some difficulty breathing. Will be going back to the doctor next week to discuss this with him. Very hesitant to use this product again.

  • I had Botox for my forehead…

I had Botox for my forehead and crows feet for years with no problem. Had serious reactions with Dysport. Been almost a year since then. Has anyone had Botox again after a serious problem with Dysport. I don't know that I will be brave enough to ever risk it, just wondering. What other options are there to get rid of forehead wrinkles?

  • I used to get headaches from…

I used to get headaches from Botox so I want the spa, and they suggested Dysport. They said it was SAFE but, like all things it has some side effects the nurse said the less than 0.1 percent I doubt that .... I'm so, so cautious now. Plus I'm a vegan super health minded and super sensitive to perservatives etc.. Anyhow I had the nice staff give me a small injection behind my ear, to see if I would have any type of reactions. So it is the equivalent to a scratch test one receives at the allergist . I'm so, so happy I followed my intution on this because I know how I react to things so I decided better safe than sorry!!! Anyhow today is the first day of the small injection, but after reading all the stories regarding Dysport on the web , I've decided to forget about ever having an injection of any sort ever. I would rather have surgery with a great surgeon and get the results I want.

  • Yes. I feel very sick from…

Yes. I feel very sick from using Dysport. I have used Botox for years, but switched to Dysport the last year because it was cheaper. In July I had Dysport done again.... all of my forehead and around my eyes. I have felt sick. I get hot flashes, when I sleep at times I wake up not feeling well... a weird feeling.. hard to explain how I feel. I feel my eyes are very heavy. Once this Dysport wears off... I am done with Dysport. I will either go back to Botox or choose another procedure to get rid of the wrinkles. Any one else experience what I have?

  • I have had every filler in…

I have had every filler in the book and Botox injections. I'm 57 and was looking to avoid a facelift because every one I've seen looks totally different from what the person is supposed to look like. I opted for Dysport because it was supposed to be "just like Botox, only cheaper". I had a small episode in March/April. After I received the injections, I had minor swelling and an itchy rash at my brow line. After an Urgent Care facility visit, I was prescribed Atarak (antihistamine) which seemed to do the trick.

In July, I had Dysport again and because my eyebrows did not look at all even, I went for a 'correction' or touch up.

That was 2 weeks ago. I woke up August 8 with swollen eyelids, very swollen cheek and a rash that has developed into painful blisters. I have a terrific medical history and was not taking any medications at the time of my injections. I reported my adverse reaction to the FDA; if you have an adverse reaction, PLEASE file a report with the FDA. I am going to also file a report with IPSEN, the maker of Dysport.

Has anyone had these reactions and how long will it take to be 'NORMAL' again?

  • I am sorry you are going…

I am sorry you are going through that. I have had headaches for five months. Can you describe them to me?

  • I am getting horrible headaches,…

I am getting horrible headaches, trying to figure out if this is from disport, I had it done about 1 month ago, I am taking Advil & Tylenol extra strength everyday

  • 4 months post dysport injection…

4 months post dysport injection and still unable to speak correctly. Drooping on one side of face, eyes still not normal, hard to recognize myself as my eyes were big and now they look to be about half the size. Entire face looks flattened. When will this nightmare end?

  • Thank you for posting this.…

Thank you for posting this. I was feeling better for two weeks and then the last week I had the worst headaches I have had yet. I am 3 1/2 months post injection. I have had everything you have had done too. MRI, CT Scan, neurologist, allegist, etc. Nothing found. I am feeling discouraged and sad today. I thought I was better but now I am not sure what to think. I feel very hopeless. I am glad you are better and I feel some relief knowing there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for me too. Thanks again!

  • I am now at 7 months post…

I am now at 7 months post Dysport injection and finally almost totally back to normal. My headaches lasted 5 months. This was the worst drug side-effect I could have ever imagined. I had all of the issues you are all describing. Irregular heartbeat, hypermetabolic weight loss, anxiety, allergic reactions to almost every medication, and headaches like I have never experienced in my life. My medical expenses have been unbelievable... head and neck MRI, CT scans, bloodwork, 3 trips to ER, neurologist, endocrinologist, and basically nothing ever showed up. This is a dangerous drug. If you are struggling hang in there it will get better, just hell getting there.

I have had similar side effects. I have used botox several times and dysport once before, but this time I used dysport I felt very weird. I had anxiety and overall strange feeling after treatment.

  • I got Dysport injection 2…

I got Dysport injection 2 days ago. Last night my eyes started iching, swelling and became very puffy. I broke out with a horrible rash all over my face. The worst area is around my mouth. It is slightly ichy and very uncomfortable. I feel aweful. I have had Botox 3 times before and never had a rash. Please think twice about getting this product. Line are not worth this. I am very worried.

  • I am sorry you are going…

I am sorry you are going through that. I experienced eye irritation for more than a month. I went to the eye doctor three times. He gave me four different types of eye drops. What worked best was the over the counter natural tears. Unfortunately, for me once the eye irritation went away, I faced almost 3 months of headaches. I had CT Scan and MRI. I finally have relief from almost all symptoms after three months. Hang in there.

  • I am having the same symptoms.…

I am having the same symptoms. I only had 20 units in the upper region of my forhead. Three days into it was great. Then after that I was being asked if I had been up all night crying. My eyelids are so puffy, I have to hold my eyebrows up to apply my makeup in the morning. But my forhead is nice and smooth. Of course I can't raise my brows at all. The Dr. said they had never seen this happen with such a small dose. The dysport spread and is causing puffy eyes! YUK for my eyes. But nice on my forehead

  • I had my 1st dysport injection…

I had my 1st dysport injection for "baby crowsfeet" on Friday and this morning I woke up and my eyes were all swollen and red/rashy. What can I do, and how long does this last?

  • Following my Dsport Inj.…

    Following my Dsport Inj.
I became ill within hours. Fever, chills, sore throat, achy, etc.
I have never experienced this with Botox.
I will never have Dysport again....
I work in the plastic surgery industry for 20+years & never experienced a problem before.
When you visit a certified plastic surgeon, opthamologist, or dermatologist which are the only bonafide injectors, make sure you ask them for botox vs. dysport.
If you experience trouble breathing please seek immediate medical attention......

  • I am having similar symptoms.…

I am having similar symptoms. Going to the doctor tomorrow. Are you better?

  • Did you have any issues with…

Did you have any issues with your eyes? I have had eye irritation for two months now. Feels like dry eyes, and I get severe headaches. How are you feeling?

  • The day after Dysport injection…

The day after Dysport injection I began experiencing sinus pressure and eye swelling. I thought it was allergies. The following week I woke up with my eyes irritated and full of eye matter. I still thought it was allergies. I felt so terrible with headaches and dry eye pain so I went to the allergist. Was told I do not have allergies. Went to the eye doctor and was given eye drops. 20 days later - headaches got worst and eye pain has changes from day to day. I have had a headache for days and now have a vaginal infection (not sure if it is related). I have a eye doctor appointment again tomorrow, an allergist appointment the following day to have sinus scan, and I have an appointment with my internist next week to rule anything hormonal out. I didn't want to believe it was the Dysport. I had it twice before and loved it. I have had Botox for almost 10 years with no problems. I know it has to be the Dysport that is causing all of this. I am otherwise extremely healthy and I feel so frustrated and depressed. I am also expriencing anxiety and heart palpitations with some hot flashes. Anyone exprience that?

  • Up in the middle of night…

Up in the middle of night horrible headache cannot sleep night after night. Almost 3 months post injection. Just got a normal MRI but that has made my headaches worse. I cannot seem to take anything as I get allergic reactions and "rebound" headaches that have sent me to the ER 3 times. I can also fully move my forehead where I had the injection but the nightmare persists. No one has even heard of Dysport let alone can they believe this could be from an FDA approved drug for wrinkles. There are MANY of us out there struggling for this toxin to get out of the body. Thanks to this I know I'm not alone in what I'm going through.

  • Update. After 10 months I…

Update. After 10 months I started feeling better, however I had the 2nd dysport in Nov , before I knew the problem, and same time frame as last, about 3 months, I'm going back into the same symptoms. It's so depressing and avoidable. I wonder since I had 2 treatments {not over 60 units ea} how long before or if I will fully recover. I am on Glutathione and Bromalain trying to break down the botulism proteins. I will gladly accept my facial lines rather  than fall into doorways and have to balance myself by holding onto something all the time. Hard to believe I was a ballroom dancer a year ago. Vanity is not worth this.

  • My reaction to dysport was…

My reaction to dysport was severe, still is 5 months post injection. I have been to the emergency room 4 times, hospitalized once, and been in and out of doctor's offices ever since receiving my injection on August 1st, 2010, side effects include severe difficulty breathing, swallowing, speaking, strange numbness / tingling sensation thoughout entire body, especially in the face and head, tightness in the chest, fully body weakness, vertigo, insomnia, severe and prolonged allergic reactions to almost any medication / vitamins, near fainting spells. I have to carry an epi pen where ever I go and feel like I am going to experience sudden death. This has been a horrible experience and I feel alone as this reaction is rare. I am hoping the side effects wear off soon but the breathing issue is almost unbearable. As far as I know there is no known course of action that can be taken to hurry the metabolizing of the toxin. I have had botox many times before and never had a problem.

  • I have used Dysport twice…

I have used Dysport twice since last May and haven't had any problems at all. According to my PS the manufacturer's recommended units for treating forehead and glabella are 200 -- that is WAY too much in my opinion. My first time we used only 150 -- this past time, last week, I asked her to cut it back even more to 130. If I use it again, I will ask for even less. I'm getting great results after just 1-2 days and no side effects. You have to be sure you are going to an experienced practitioner who is not pushing that 200 unit thing... no wonder people have problems! I have used Botox twice in the past and experienced more side effects (headaches, dizziness, strange eye sensations) than I did with Dysport. Every body metabolizes toxins differently -- what works great for one might not be so good for someone else. Take care.

  • I'm now over 8 weeks since…

I'm now over 8 weeks since the injection. Still having problems listed. My arms and legs feel like lead weights. My forehead lines are back as well but still suffering from the side-effects. Trying to work and still be a productive mom and wife. My doctor stopped using Dysport after my reaction. I hope it goes away, My headaches are still terrible and the sleeping is still a problem unless I take pills to help. I haven't been able to work out and it's all I can do to get up and do the basics everyday.

  • I will NEVER use dysport…

I will NEVER use dysport again i was sick for 3 months and thought i waas going to die......do not use this product!!!!!!! Headaches, nausea, dizziness, heart palpitations, droopy eyes, vertigo....omg i can go on! its hell

  • I had my first dysport in…

I had my first dysport in Mar of this year. I first had horrible congestion. Called the dermatologist and she said it wasn't related. I then had severe fatigue and the balance problems started 3 mo later. I haven't had any facial problems, but ones of balance, fatigue, horrible mouth taste, leg heaviness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, and have fallen a couple of times. After seeing 6 neurologists and having them tell me nothing was wrong and the dermatologist who injected me telling me it wasn't the dysport, there had never been anything like that reported from the small amount I had in my forehead, I thought I was crazy. Today, I called the FDA amd the Poison hotline. The FDA was very calm in telling me that my experiences were ones they had many complaints of and I needed to get my Dr to evaluate me and treat me. I called my pcp {whom I have been to 20 times in the last 7 months} and the neurologists at OSU medical center and the Cleveland Clinic where I went. No one even knew what dysport was and does NOT use it. My pcp called the FDA and talked to a Dr and got the info that they had a lot of complaints with my symptoms, and once you have the symptoms, there is nothing you can do except wait it out...up to 15 months from initial usage. Unbelieveable. I should have been given the info on this drug before use and the dermatologist lied when she told me the FDA had no record of any other complaints like mine. If you live in Westerville, Ohio and want to have botox or dysport, stay away from a dermatology center there!!!

  • I had the same probems with…

I had the same probems with the anxiety with this drug.  I had it done back in October of this year.  How long does it actually stay in your body.  I can now make the frown lines again, does that mean that it is finally out of my system?  Good to hear, I'm not the only one with these side effects, my Dr. thought I was being silly....

  • Been very sick can't sleep…

Been very sick can't sleep wake up with heart racing, numbness down both arms into hands. Sever headaches and neck pain causing numbness into my right shoulder during the day. Almost 4 weeks into it. Have to take anti-anxiety to sleep.I also have had botox for years with no problems. This drug is not safe!

  • I tried dysport and it did…

I tried dysport and it did what it claimed: dimished the wrinkles for 6 months. My side effects: A 1/8 inch eye-lid droop on one eyelid close to the nose, an injection site infection, insomnia, and a  dull headache. I loved not having the wrinkles but I didn't look 'right'.

  • I too am having a bad reaction…

I too am having a bad reaction to the dysport! I have use Botox  in the past with no problems but thought I would try the Dysport. I was told it was the same as Botox and Dysport was giving rebates towards your next injection. In the first week I saw a lift with my eyebrows and the forehead wrinkles were disappearing. Then toward the end of the second week my left eye/lid started to droop and my cheek area is swollen. It has now been 5 days that I have had these side effects....and I am starting to freak out. After reading the other posts...is there no other recourse but to wait it out?

  • I also have had a terrible…

I also have had a terrible reaction to dysport. I highly recommend to stay away from this product! I have had botox many times with absolutely no reactions and was extremely statisfied with the results. Dysport, however, has caused severe headaches, a drooping eye, and blurry vision for 2 weeks; overall a horrible experience! I tried dysport because my plastic surgeon said it is exactly like botox; it is NOT! Please, please stick with botox if you are contemplating these injections!!! I wish i would have researched Dysport before I decided on this injection. With all the bad side effects posted on the net, I am extremely upset that FDA would not investigate this drug. When I see my plastic surgeon next week, I will highly encourage them to stop using dysport!!

  • I am having a problem…

I am having a problem with my eyelid at night.  I will wake up and my eyelid seems stuck closed at times.  It feels like something is in my eye after I wake up and it scares me to have my eyelid closed in my right eye, even for a second..  Never have a problem during the day or when I am awake.

  • I have had botox and dysport…

I have had botox and dysport injections in the past all for cosmetic reasons. Never had a bad reaction but maybe an occasional headache which was mild. My last dysport injection was about 2 weeks ago. I have had a terrible reaction. My symptoms were vertigo, droopy eye, swollen cheek and fatique. I was so concerned that I went to ER but I never put 2 and 2 together until now and realized it was the dysport. Apparently one injection was too close to the eyelid and the medication seeped into my eyelid area causing the droop. My cheek is sore because all the other muscles in my face are compensating for the fatique eyelid. I am miserable with this outcome and realized this is not worth it. The Dr. says that it will take about2-3 weeks for the side effects to wear off but the dysport will continue to keep wrinkles away for 3-4 months.

  • I have used Dysport twice.…

I have used Dysport twice.  It was the first time I had ever used anything like this and was thrilled...until this second time.  We moved, so I went to a different doctor who does this procedure frequently.  She assured me that it would be fine to use more than the first doctor, but since the treatment, my eyelids are so heavy that it distorts my vision.  When I wake up in the morning my eyes are extremely swollen and look terrible.  I, like many others will never do this again.  I hope it doesn't take 3 months to wear off!

  • I had Dysport 14 days ago.…

I had Dysport 14 days ago.  At first I loved the results.  I still love the results of my forehead. However, for about 7 days now I have had very swollen eyelids.  It lloks like they are filled with fluid.  This is very disappointing because I was so happy with the results for the first week and now my swollen eyelids are all I can think about and my forehead results are secondary.

  • i HAD A TERRBIEL HEADCASHE…

i HAD A TERRBIEL HEADCASHE AFTER TWO  DAYSOF THE INJECTIONS,  THE HEADACHE GOT WORSE, FOLLOWE D BY NAUSEA AND CHEST PAINS ON THE FOLOOWING DAY.  tHEN MY ARM STARTED TO FEEL NUMB,  i WAS AFRAID i WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK OR STROKE.  A FEW DAYS LATER THE LEFT SIDE OF MY DACE WAS THUMB AND I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A REACTION TO DYSPORT.  i STARTED MONITORING MY BLOOD PRESSURE AND HEART RATE, WHCIH WAS IRRADICK, BUT AT TIMES EXTREMELY HIGH.  AFTER MISSING 2 1/2 WEEKS OF WORK i AM BACK.  i FEEL WEEK AT TIMES AND THE HEADACHE PERSISTS.

  • Jennifer how are you feeling?…

    Jennifer how are you feeling?

  • I had dysport for glabella…

I had dysport for glabella about 5 weeks ago. After 3 weeks i was satisfied with the look except for too much raising of eyebrows on the outer side. I returned to get a touch up on my forehead and the doctor said “don’t you want your crows feet done too?” I said no, and asked if I did would my expressions like smiling change. She said no, it would just soften those lines. After a week I started noticing I had slight bags under my eyes and the area on my upper cheek bones felt strange. Now after two weeks I look terrible, particularly when i make any expression like smiling or laughing! When I smile have huge eye bags and look like a chipmunk, my eyes don’t smile anymore and my cheeks droop down on the sides below my eye. I’ve now read others who have experienced this side effect and it’s due to the person improperly injecting or injecting too much. I’m so upset, I don’t know what to do. I have an appt. for a follow up next week when I return from a trip, I want to report this physician, I think she was careless when she did my treatment and is incompetent! I plan to report her to the Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board in Arizona. Is there anything I can do to minimize this? have fillers put in the creases? take anything to reduce the effects? I’m so afraid this is permanent and won’t go away. I’m so embarrassed and want to hide in the house until this wears off.

  • I have gotten Dysport twice…

I have gotten Dysport twice and both times my eyes were super sensitive to light. My eye lids are also heavy and lower. I won't be getting it again.

  • I was treated with Dysport.…

I was treated with Dysport. My upper nose by my forhead turned grey. I was treated 7-days ago and it turned grey after about 5-days. Has anyone experienced this? I wonder if it will go away?

  • I had horrible experiences…

I had horrible experiences with Botox - bad side effects and it didn't even work for my wrinkles!  I have had Dysport twice with NO side effects and great success for my wrinkles.  I am wondering if a recent bout with nausea had something to do with it, though.  I got injected on Friday and was totally fine until Sunday night - woke up vomiting at 2 in the morning.  Felt fine after that.  Has anyone else experienced anything like that?

  • Yes I had two very bad episodes…

I had a dysport injection for frown lines today and have insomina and anxiety!  how long does this last Help!

  • I came home from the injection…

I came home from the injection and immediatly vomited.  Within 4 days I had severe eyelid Ptosis.  My physical symptoms continued to get worse over the week including:  numbing, tingling & weakness in my arms & legs, tighness in my chest, trouble breathing, flu-like symptoms, loss of appetite, severe anxiety.  The Ptosis is still continuing at 4 1/2 weeks, all other symptoms subsided after a week.

  • Marie, I had the same side…

Marie, I had the same side effects.  Tingling, numbness in arms & legs.  Tight chest, major anxiety, flu symptoms.  AND eyelid Ptosis going on week 5.  My Dr. swore the other side effects were my imagination.  I've had Botox several times with NO side effects.  It was the Dysport.  I just wish the Dr's would pay attention & believe us & be aware for other patients.  Very scary!!  I'll never try either again!

  • I have headache and insomnia…

I have headache and insomnia kind of..

  • I just placed a post and…

I just placed a post and read the others and feel exactly like Soloist, excluding the chest tightness.  It is very scary and I am hoping that it wears off soon.  I cannot function with regards to work either, as my head is very cloudy.  I would never ever use Dysport again and cannot wait to feel normalcy.

  • Received Dysport after having…

Received Dysport after having used Botox and will never use it again.  The side effects are scary:  Dry mouth, headaches, blurred vision, tingling in the arms and legs and anxiety.  The doctor did not provide me with the facts, just advised me that it worked like Botox and I will never ever use Dysport again.

  • How long should these symptoms…

How long should these symptoms last? I had Dysport middle of May and I am still feeling axious dizzy and my eyes just feel heavy all the time.

  • I'm having the same reaction.…

I'm having the same reaction.  Went back and they injected me with more to solve the Spock situation.  Now my eylids are drooping and I feel like there is an elephant sitting on my chest.  Also having some visual disturbances.  Wondering how long will take to resolve.  Will NEVER do this again.

  • I understand what you are…

I understand what you are going through soloist.  You are not alone.  I have been experiencing symptoms since 12/09.  It has been a nightmare.  The RN that injected me was arrested for forging MD's signatures for dysport, botox, and narcotics.  When I found out that she was arrested, that is when I started to do research on dysport, and adverse reactions.  I was overdosed with three times the amount of dysport that should have been administered.
I feel that no one really understands what I am going through.  I can be contacted at princessnurse@comcast.net, if anyone would like to chat.

  • I was given a total of 146…

I was given a total of 146 units of dysport, and have been experiencing severe vertigo, visual disturbances, generalized weakness,  nausea, extreme fatigue, droopy eyelid, incomplete blink, and difficulty with speech.

  • Received dysport once and…

Received dysport once and had no problems, recently received it again with 1 injection in crows feet and 6 days after the injection, I became unable to smile correctly on 1 side-- my mouth and cheek aren't lifting appropriately.  How long might this take to wear off?
I am holding on to get through this and will never use this or botox again.

  • How are you feeling now Soloist?…

How are you feeling now Soloist??? I have had some of the same side effects, but mostly dizziness and numbness in my head.  It has been a week and a half since my injections.  This is my second time having Dysport but the first time I have ever felt like this.  I hope you are feeling better and am wondering when you felt better.
    Thanks!

  • Hi, I had similiar story…

    Hi,
I had similiar story as you...had dysport 2x, the first time I was fine, second time had done differently and was dizzy and off balance 3 days after injection and I still am over a week later.  I was considering having CT scan but see you did.  Can you tell me how long it took to feel better?
    Thanks Jc!

  • I have also had a bad experience…

I have also had a bad experience with Dysport.   Had Botox in the past without problems.....but a few days after injection with Dysport I experienced difficulties breathing, tightness in my chest and throat, extreme dry mouth, fatigue, and feeling of numbness inside my head.   It is likely that I had an allergic reaction to the drug as the more serious chest tightness cleared up in a few days......but since then (2 weeks later) I still feel like there is something terribly wrong.  It is difficult to work a full day and carry out my normal activities due to the fatigue and lightheadedness.   I hope to find a support group or have conversation with others that have experienced a similar reaction.   It has been difficult to find a physician that has experience in handling someone with these side effects....so the feeling of being "alone" to deal with this is frightening.

  • I have had vertigo after…

I have had vertigo after botox

  • severe drooping of one eye,…

severe drooping of one eye, and opposite cheek drooping... and speech slurred, one to two weeks after injections.  feels like a stroke, went to neurologist to check , had MRI and CT scans done , and only explanation was these injections of DYSPORT!!!!!! I have had dysport before but had the injections done a bit differently this time, so we figure it must be from that! I am wondering how long this is going to take to get better, I have slurred and stuttering speach, that is the most bothersome.

  • I had dysport at the beginning…

I had dysport at the beginning of January 2010.  I had been treated with botox and filler and it didn't work.  They than treated me with dysport.  Around the next week I was really sick.  It felt like I was having  heart attack.  I had real bad headaches and still do.  My doctor says it is from Dysport.  I will never use either product again.  Nothing is worth what I haave gone through.

  • Two days after injection…

Two days after injection I developed double vision. My eyes are still not back to normal and I don't know when I will be able to see again. If the provider at Sleek Med Spa in Braintree provided me with complete disclosure, I would not have gone through with it. They were not helpful or even cared enough to check on me. The docter was more worried about a lawsuite than me. Does anyone know how long this double vision lasts?

  • I had a very unpleasant Dysport…

I had a very unpleasant Dysport experience. Didn't really like Botox and had been using Restalyne as a fill successfully, but was told about Dysport during a treatment. It's cost and that it was different than Botox was a motivation, but I was not shown or explained about the potential lethal side effects and if I had known, would not have tried the product.
It worked very fast. The next day I resembled Mr. Spock of Star Trek w/ droppy eyelids, felt very strange, weakened, tingleing in my hands and feet began and a kinda of creeping mild paralysis manifested, I felt heavy in my chest, like something was sitting on it, sense of my system partially shutting down. It's been several months and the effects are slowly wearing off, but I feel like i've been recovering from a long illness. Fortunately, too, the alien look has calmed down too. I do not recommend this drug to anyone. Much stronger than Botox. I made a very poor decision that day, and wish I had been given full disclosure about the hazards of the drug.
