Flagyl

I took flagyl for 5 days each day feeling worse nausea an inner agitation and yawning for air difficulty breathing.....felt like it was attacking my intestines and the body was reacting and going into flight or fight. Very uncomfortable really unbearable had to stop it feltl like I was poisoning myself. Feel like my insides have been stripped I am left feeling anxious and fragile. Treatment way worse than what it was prescribed for.I think it caused anxiety nearly panic

I am currenty on Flagyl for a pelvic infection in combination with vibramyacin. This morning I took the vibramyacin and then was planning on taking the Flagyl an hour later, but  I spent the this morning vomiting.  I called the dr. and was told by my dr. to continue taking both but with food..vibramyacin said to take on empty stomach, but I think the flagyl was effecting me from the night before and not drinking enough water in combo with the vibramyacin .. and I think that's why I threw up
I did not take the flagyl before I threw up, however, after I was ok and spoke to the dr hours later , he told me to continue taking both but  I took the flagyl thinking it was the vibramyacin causing all the trouble,  I had stomach burning all day and then just a half hour ago I took the flagyl again and immedialtey had I realized soon after taking it again that it is the culprit causing a heartburn like burning senstation in my stomach and lower esophogas... I am calling my dr. tomorrow again to tell him that I can't deal with this.  I tried to push through since I want to be fully rid of the pelvic infection but this is ridiculous.  It feels like a horrible heartburn burning sensation.

The exact same thing happened to me after I was prescribed high dose flagyl for 5 days for suspected diverticulitis (painful bloating, frothy yellow diarrhea, excessive foul gas, etc.) my doc also put me on a Clear Liquid Diet for 3 days before I had this episode... I called 911 from work because I felt chest tightness, shortness of breath, extremely lightheaded, and couldn't stand up or walk without almost passing out. I was confused also with difficulty concentrating and speaking. EMTs found my blood pressure to be 170/100 and my EKG showed a "Right Bundle Branch Block". I felt better after they gave me nitroglycerin and 4 baby aspirins. At the ER my EKGs and cardiac enzymes were normal. A CT scan of my abdomen failed to show any diverticulitis- they told me it looked completely normal. They also said I was dehydrated with a slightly low potassium level which was to be expected after 9 days of diarrhea. They thought my episode was caused by severe intestinal spasms probably due to side effects of the flagyl and ibuprofen I had taken that morning on basically an empty stomach!
