    I was recommended to take Gabitril for TMJ. I have been taking it for 6 months. In that time I noticed I was becoming extremely tired and my pulse was very slow and my blod pressure had increased quite a bit. I began having symptoms of sleep apnea. I was having memory issues and have had dizziness and suffered several falls. I was having having heart palpitations and occational chest pains and ringing in my ears. Finally went to ER today after being short of breath all night,pulse of 50,achy and experiencing chest pains. My ECG was abnormal but cardiac enzymes were negative. ER Dr. advised me to stop taking it right away. Cardiac issues are very rare he said but some of the other symptoms are more common. I was scared I was having a heart attack and hope my symptoms subside soon as I'm stopping the drug as of today. Be cautious if proscribed for other used other than epilepsy.
