Gliclazide

I have been given this drug 3 years ago 160mg daily I have adjusted the does in the summer months to half does in morning and one in evening. I do not always remember to take the eveining one..

I have made a good effort to remember to take the full dosage, BUT my sleep is more disturbed getting up to have a wee in night. I itch and my heart rate seems slightly faster.I seem to be a little hyper at night.Within three hours of taking the evening one I get a little cramp in my lower legs.

I do get tingling in my veins, like itchy blood. I am not to keen on the injection route and I am thinking I may ask to be referred back to the Hospital Consultant.

I would be glad for advice or shared experiences.

Started Gliclazide 40 mg concurrently with 90 mg Metformin. After adding the former experiencing numbness in the right hand, and also a `strange' feeling in the eyes and eye lids.

Skin eruptions and rash and itching

am wondering does anyone know if gliclazide causes pancreatic cancer andis it dangerous to useif you have had pancreatitis in the past.

Does anyone get lots of muscle swelling and aches also like little fluid lumps ?

I can take most tablets whithout side efects but not Gliclazide, i get pain  why.

I'M MALE AGE 74

Different brands have different effects; some reach the optimum level a lot earlier resulting in dizziness and the need to have a further snak by early mid-morning.  reduced suger level signficantly ( not complaining!) while other struggeled to have the required effect
i know you will not believe it but this I have tried over a number of years
Joint pain and constipation.
