Istin Reviews

I took Istin when I first developed high BP several years ago. After a few days I developed an infection in my waterworks and was given antibiotics. A few days later I awoke in the night with chest pain, breathlessness and severe shaking. A telephone conversation with emergency doc resulted in being told it was a result of the water infection. This happened several times over a few months and after taking the med in the morning I would drive to work with an aching chest and legs and would drag my way through the day.
Several visits to the GP made me feel that he thought I had "white coat syndrome" because though my heart rate and BP were high I was sent home with nothing done. One day I spent all morning at the surgery having my BP taken with a fast heart rate, the same in the evening as a result of chest pain. Eventually I was told to attend the cardiac unit ASAP.

To cut a long story short I was told it was possibly the Istin but things were settling so was out of danger of a heart attack so sent home. The morning following the visit to the cardiac unit I stopped taking the pills and had what felt like electric shocks in my heart and severe, all over body shaking which reduced as the day went on. I have never had the experience since.

I take  5mg of Istin tablet each day for my hypertention prescribed by my Dr Canny  Renmore Road Galway It has worked  ok for years

However the bycep of right arm  wasted some years back but has stopped but my arm is   not as strong lifting  high as it used to be and it will  ache when lifting  above my head

However again Now my right leg  muscle  is very sore when walking and it does not ware off when walking and it gets   sore

It is getting worse

There is no visable signs on the outside

However Xmas time previous to last Xmas my bigtoe got an abses  on it and it spuked  but I got the Dr to give me oinment and it cured it. I kept the  fungus oinment on this Xmas when I felt it was going to erupt again and I inserted  a few aqupuncture needles  along the line of the sinue of the big toe on my right foot and the toe  did not seem to want to erupt but Igot a  soreness of cramp on the beach after swiming in Jan 11  and as I was swinging my leg with mountain climbing boots and since then the pain  goes from the shin and to the tigh and the knee. I put soap on it and it   helps a bit
Itake vitimins   E, MSM,  Say Glucosomine, Vigra, C , Saw Palmetto; 75mg of asprin,Cod liver oil

I am a 67 yr old female, was prescribed Istn in 1990, and had no problem until two years ago. I then started to experience quite severe side effects, headaches, dizziness, nausea, visual disturbances, fatigue, anxiety among others. Since then my doctor has prescribed me various other medication with no improvement. After suffering heart failure and spending time in hospital the consultant put me back on Istin. This was six weeks ago but since then the side affects have been making my life pretty miserable, can anyone help. PLEASE :'(
