  • I have had RA for 15 years…

    I have had RA for 15 years and have been on numerous and various meds.  I have stoped methotrexate and folic acid and now started taking Leflunomide (Arava).  Three days in and I'm noticing I have alot more energy.  I was on Metotrexate for 4 + years and just now have been loosing my hair.  My knees and ankles are very bad. So much so that I can't walk my dog, stand for more than 3 minutes at a time and even sit for more than 20 minutes cause the pain is so bad when I get up to stand/walk.  I am on 10 mgs to start with no stomach problems so far. I pray that this one works cause I am only 55 yrs. old with a 17 yr old daughter.  It is very scary starting new meds because of the numerous side effects.  I will hang in there.
