Levora

I was on Levora for about four years and developed two blood clots in my lower legs and two in my lungs. I had gone  home for Christmas in 2008 and spent the rest of my vacation in the hospital and I was out of work for almost two months. I was on Coumadin and other meds for two years and have to wear compression stockings each day. I have gained a ton of weight, been depressed, and have not been able to properly exercise due to further complications in my legs. My doctor, when told of my being hospitalized said that the benefits outweighed the risks and that she was not taking me off Levora. Well, needless to say, as soon as I returned from New York, I had all of my records transferred to another doctor. This whole experience has been horrible. I really don't have much choice in my method of birth control, as I have just turned 41.

Yes, do not take this birth control! Its the most god awful pill i have ever taken in my life! I wish they would actually bring one back called the lanelle shot, it was a birth control pill but a shot that you would get once a month so you wouldnt have to remember to take the pill just a shot once a month. It was great cause you got your period like normal, and there were virtually no side effects...bum deal they took it off the shelves :( Anywho, I too suffer with major depression and anxiety and Im on my third month of levora and decided it was this pill making me virtually impaired in the way of depression and mood swings. glad im not the only one, hang in there girl! I suggest ortho tri-cyclin low, its the only one i havent really had side effects from.

I suffer from anxiety and depression and I found that Levora only added to the anxiety, to the point of where I had to stop taking it.
