Deadly!!! After being injected by my dentist my heart immediately started to race sending me into shock and gasping for breath. This was followed by spasms. seizures.and sub consciousness. it was real awful . The paramedics had to be called to take me to the ER.I was booked for two days. it left me with chest pains and occasional throbbing of the heart. It was the worst experience and a venture with death

• Mindo, OMG! I had my…

Mindo, OMG! I had my first experience today with Prolotherapy. After just the first injection, I suddenly felt extreme nausea followed by a warmth that traveled all through my body. I had been lying face down on the table and sat up abruptly to tell the Dr. & assistant i thought something was happening to me, i.e., I was having an allergic reaction? It was so scary. He said it was probably the Lidocaine...cancelled the rest of the treatment & guess he will use something else with the Dextrose & Saline. I shouldn't have driven home myself, but thought I was better. On the drive back my heart was racing uncontollable & I kept having waves of nausea. I felt I was going to have to pull over on the side of the road, or that I would die! An awful feeling. Anyway, I just wanted to reply to you because your Dec. 2nd date was so close to my treatment today. My Dr. was nice but I get the feeling most people don't experience this? Sigh. I was/am excited at the Prolo treatment to heal my back issues & pray that I can try again but with something else. Have to admit though, I am pretty terrified. I'm still groggy because I took a lot of Benadryl. If I had stopped the procedure after just one shot, I'm sure I'd have wound up in the ER or worse. So sorry you experience the reaction you did. I though it was just my body, but now I'm seeing on this site, that one can be allergic to this mixture with the Lidocaine.

Do you plan on going through with another form of Prolotherapy? You didn't happen to get thise treatment in Austin, TX, did you? Just curious.
be well & Best Wishes.

• BEWARE!!! I had an…

BEWARE!!! I had an extremely adverse reaction to this drug while receiving some prolotherapy for an injury. I had the max dose and became paralyzed for about 15 minutes or so, passed out and honestly...it felt as if I were dying and quite possibly I could have been. My body was overdosed with this and I could literally feel that my heart and lungs were slowing down to the point where I could barely breath. When I started to come out of it my hearing was impaired, I couldn't talk very well and my hands started shaking uncontrollably. This was a horrible experience for me, the doctor and my family! Even 2 days later I'm having trouble with shaking, itching and brain fog, where I just can't find words. This was a terrifying experience and one I don't care to repeat!!
