Lipitor

I had taken Lipitor for 10 days. I'm usually very fit but have not even been able to walk up a hill without extreme fatigue. Got a cough I cannot stop. Persistant headache and backache. My feet and hands feel like they're burning and I can't sleep without the aid of sleeping tablets.

Have decided to go off them as I cannot live like this. Will be telling my doctor that I'll try lowering my cholesterol naturally.

Oh and of course I forgot the memory loss. I couldn't even remember what I'd gone to the shops to buy. Found out when I got home it was milk so wrote myself a note and took it with me so I couldn't forget it again.

MY HUSBAND IS TAKING LIPITOR/ASPAVOR FOR ABOUT 2 AND A HALF YEARS NOW. HE IS GAINING WEIGHT. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS BECAUSE OF THE USE OF THIS MEDICATION. HE IS USING IS TOGETHER WITH BAYER ASPIRIN CARDIO AND CIPRALEX

i have been taking lipitor for 2 wks now and i urnate aabout every half does it have fluid pills in it

got a cough and canot get rid of it...no fever just a rib busting cough

my husband has been on 10mg liptor for more than ten years. His heart doctor has been monitoring his liver. He said his sgpt has been high for more than 5 years. sgpt is either 55 or its 64 or its 74 orits 51. now my husband went to a family doctor and his sgpt is now 72 and then another was 117. the doctor said lets wait a month and see what the levels are then. I am very worried and I know my husband asked if it could be the lipitor but doctor said you need that drug. I have seen other place say that it can cause elevated liver enzymes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Liptor: did not Work for me or for Work for my brother,  and as for the side effects I would have never been to be able to return to work again. Dude my debt load is still owing. I need job, worked dam hard for my job, I love my job and contractors  that I worked with. It was awfluw.  U Really take a look at the crap they're peddling you (Because they will use you as a lab rat, and see if it will hurt you dont be so accepting that your getting the right things. I beat carcinoid cancer with the great Dr. Richard Kozerik at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.  I told him told that I partied no more, and started living right which was which for me was damn hard to to, and and drank an Objimbay Indian tea (Essiiac) tea. I was completely cell free with in a month. Still sets me on my ear, But I'm alive to talk about. Recipie's are all over the net and some are not charging for it.  I'm not soliclititing for essiac tea. It 's really does work and that was 1999. Thank goodness some one told me. I hope you can find good health. I dropped weight and got some (rigourous excerise) Beach body Mucscle confustion. My Doc took me BP mediacation Rock on. I know I can get myself in shape again. I did it In 90 days last time. Lets face it medicines are  for sick people. They warn you on TV all the time. Get they are warning you. There's a reason .  If we would all take care of ourselves they'de be out of business, just like you if were more pro active and took care of you're car before it craps out . Thanks 

After taking Lipitor for a short period of time, my neck, left side shoulder, and arms started aching to the point of having difficulty doing my job. I stopped taking it and with-in two days my right arm stopped hurting, but my neck, shoulder, and left arm feel sprained, it still functions but is painful. The Dr. and the ER DR said to take Motrin and Tylenol, which does not even touch the pain. I am stretching continually to get some short lived relief. My fingers on the left side feels like they are coming off of a novicane shot with periods of tingling. I wish I knew how long this will last if if it will ever go away. And I hope I do not loose my job in the process.

I had so many side effects that don't know where to start. Odd lumpy swelling in both feet that burned, itched, tingled as it spread. Sudden frequent urges to go pee (that came out with such a force!), Feet and leg cramps, sudden painful knees only 2 weeks into starting the drug, it actually felt like some hit me in both knees with a sledgehammer that lasted the whole time I was on them and stopped once I quit the drug and hasn't bothered me since. NO energy at all, lost words, lived in a fog, would pass up my exit on the interstate with no memory of even seeing it and not realize it until miles later, would run stop signs and red lights while looking right at them... just couldn't connect the dots. In laying down to go to sleep, my airway would close if I laid on my back (stopped as soon as I was off the drug). Once asleep, I would wake up feeling like I was smothering, also stopped off the drug.I had NO idea what happened to my sex life, my desire just died a sudden death. Consentration was at zero, memory was gone, I couldn't even figure out how to cook a meal and I cook for a living!!Everything I ate gave me indigestion and I had acid reflux at night that woke me up every hour. I cut off all social life and contact, just about stopped driving, all I did was lay on the sofa wondering what was happening to me. My mother was in better shape than I was at 80 years old and dying with cancer!

I went from being a healthy person with no problems other than high cholesterol and THAT being the only medicine I was on, to having a gallon size zip lock bad full of pills that I needed every day.

Stopping the drug was a real eye opener! With in 24 hours, the fog lifted and I could remember things again! The energy came back to the point that I was amazed at how I felt. It took me 2 weeks to be brave enough to get off the pain meds for my knees and guess what.. THAT pain was GONE!It was wonderful for about a year, then the assult started on every joint in my body. Every morning I would wake up with horriable crippeling pain in a new joint that left that joint useless that day. After about 6 months of that, it landed in my right shoulder and has been there ever since. Overnight I went for never having that shoulder have any problems to having arthritis, tendonitis, burcitis and a bone spur..These probems are permenant with that shoulder now. I also have a very embarrassing female skin condition cause by no testosterone. Colon scopies pre statin were always clean, 5 years into statins I had 5 precancerous polyps removed. 3 years later, off statins, another colonscopy turned up 1 small polyp.

I still have memory problems some days but they are far apart and becoming frewer. That lumpy swelling is still on my feet but it has stopped spreading and isn't painful anymore. Stopping that drug gave me my life back and I am able to live again!
