BAD SORE THROAT,

I have experienced the same problems! I have had three different bumps with white puss stuff come out of them and never had stuff like this until I started using Listerine! I stopped using it a couple of days ago and I'm never going to use it again!!

I would not recommend the Listerine Whitening Mouthwash. After two weeks of use, I had lost half the taste buds on my tongue, my mouth and gums were sore and tender, and I woke up with numb and swollen lips. I understand that others have had similar experiences, and many also experienced dying cells in their mouths. Use with caution.

@pam: If this is any help, most people who stopped use of the mouthwash found their taste returning as normal in two to three weeks.

Listerine Zero seemed such a sensible idea. I had a really bad hacking cough which the doctor treated and it went away. Then,after a gap of about five weeks I returned to the Liisterine Zero one morning and the hacking cough came back within the hour and has remained. I foresee having to visit my GP again. This time there will be the Listerine Zero connexion to report as well.

I can't taste anything! I started using total care a week ago and my sense of taste turned off last night during dinner! I am a chef-this is scary!!!

Earlier today I gargled with Listerine the tissue right before my throat and throat are red.
It feels raw and inflamed. OMG its still hurts tried gargling with some coconut oil out of desperation because it hurts. I know weird but desperate. I don't see any bumps though just very irritated tissue.

Oh my goodness! DO NOT USE TOTAL CARE LISTERINE!! I have close to 4 large puss filled blisters in my mouth. I went to the doctor wondering what the heck was in my mouth and it was from the Listerine. The sodium chloride burnt blisters in my mouth! DO NOT USE. :(

Wow I came online trying to find anawers regarding a large bump inside of my mouth on the left side and it seems we all have the same thing in common - we used Listerine before the bumbp(s) showed up. I use both total care and regular but after reading this forum I am going to stop using total care. The regular Listerine never produced any bumps in my mouth. It may have something to do with Sodium Floride.

I started using Listerine Whitening Pre-Brush and I noticed my tounge started getting really sore. I just thought it was due to my wisdom teeth pushing and bothering the crap out of me and maybe I was biting my tounge at night when I slept. Tonight I noticed that I had two huge blisters on the bottom of my tounge! What the hell?! Now on top of my freekin wisdom teeth I have to deal with these blisters/gashes! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! Wish I would have found this earlier!

Hi i constantly used the pink listerine every evening, until just over a week ago when i was in bed and my mouth started to go numb, i still have very minimal feeling in a tiny part of my mouth on the left hand side. i have been to see the doctor and will visit again on fri if the numbness has not gone.There is no other explanation for this and it is driving me mad.

used this stuff for about 2 weeks. I started getting a weird feeling on my tongue. so I looked and had blisters and my tongue was covered with a white film. when i realized this was the only change I'd made in that time i stopped using it and a day later I felt my tongue go back to normal. never again!

I used Listerine Total Care. I didn't gargle with it thank God. I only flushed it around near the front of my mouth and held it for a moment in the area of my front teeth. One day later, my lips are swollen three times their size, my tongue is swollen and the lining of the inside of my mouth is white with small tiny white bumps.

had been using this for two weeks then all hell broke loose.edges of lips little bumps ,lips on fire.blisters on lips little round fluid filled bumps,then crusting,then back on fire itching all day on and off,i can feel heart beat in lips and stinging when i ate..thought i caught std from kissing bf.

couldn't wait to buy and use listerine total and used it morning and nite for about 2 weeks holding it in mouth for as long as i could stand it but when i visited my dentist she asked if i'd looked at my tounge lately it was dark and might be hairy tounge----i was amazed--never had
it before so i quit using product for about a week now and tho better still very prominent i'm so disappointed

The same thing happened to me. My tongue is blackish-brown with a thick film on it. it's disgusting. It's so rough i can feel it constantly rub the roof of my mouth. I looked it up and it's called "black hairy tongue" and the pictures look exactly the same. I will never use that crap again.

I used listerine with whitening for about 1 week. I had to stop using it because I had a thick film on my tongue and my tongue was getting a dark color. It's been about 5 days side I stopped using it but I am left with an aspirin taste in my mouth, a discolored tongue and soreness on the roof of my mouth.

I've recently started using Listerine Zero and I'm wondering if it's causing my teeth to stain.  I've had this issue with Crest Pro-health non-alcohol and had to pay for dental cleaning.

use baking soda if you want clean teeth, Iv seen improvement after just 1 week

Listerine is not a caustic agent!  It is a denatured alcohol=not a drying agent!  It stimulates saliva and has been proven safe and effective by the ADA.  It is the only antibacterial mouthrinse that has been approved and has been in safe use over 150 years!  Can someone be sensitive to a product or even allergic?  Definitey.  Every person has their own unique body chemistry.  I am allergic to grass and a variety of things, but I'm not going to tell everyone to get rid of their lawn for me.  The pH of Listerine is low making it acidic for the time it is in your mouth- probably less than a minute.  Do not keep it in your mouth more than a minute- would you take a whole bottle of aspirin when it says to take only 2?  Take a look at all the things you drink and eat and find out what their pH levels are.  You should be more concerned about this as you are eating and drinking acidic foods and beverages for hours a day, some people eat and drink all day long never giving their mouth a break from the acids.  BTW there are studies that prove Listerine has no erosive effect when used as directed.

Causes me to grind my teeth and clench my jaw!!

i used to take some Listerine and keep it in my mouth for at least 5 minutes.
now i am experiencing what looks like blisters, burning and shedding of lips...mostly the lower lip. 

I have been using LISTERINE TOTAL CARE, morning & night, for a couple of Months and my nose starts running very hard for 10 - 30 minutes. It is getting worse, so I am going to stop using it to see if the running stops. Has anyone else had this problem???????
