Madopar

My mum experiences hot spots on her body. These hot spots are not necessarily the same every time, eg scalp, nose, cheeks, right hand, right knee, etc.; sometimes scalp nose cheeks all at once. once. These hot spots can last over an hour.

She has experienced somnolence (ssleepiness) since starting the Neupro patches. She has also been able to swallow, chew and speak since the commencement of the patches, and her cognitiion appears to be better. Very pleased about her being able to swallow, as she had terrible "freezing" of the mouth, throat & face (as well as other areas of her body), was unable to eat and was losing 1kg per week. Much better now. :*

Took pills on empty stomache, felt very nauseous, ears 'whirring', thought I was going to faint, fell asleep at traffice lights (microsleep), drove over into other person's lane, just about fell asleep at next set of traffic lights, shallow breathing, needed to lie down on bed, had slight headache, passed after 2 hours.  Completely debilitating...!

My husband is takingmadopar He has 2 125mg. capsules 3 times a day. He do0es not appear to be gaining any positive effects. His legs are very swollen and he is suffering badly with dystonia. This is severely compromising his mobility.

Why so much side effects?
Should I carry on to get glaucoma?
